Alright peeps, should i cancel my accounts or not? Is it gonna SUCK the big one or should I give it a chance? Is everyone just complaining or is there merit to the worry?

Straight up? I am serious, if it is gonna suck I want to stop paying now.

Thanks,

This is what we call testing my friend. Things can and do change on a daily basis so give it time.

alrighty, I was just interested. I can never tell if people are just being cranky about change or if there is true doomsday merit to be had. I just wish all posts about the CURB were objective, but I know that is not realistic.

If you want my OPINION then I'll be glad to share it with you.

Dislikes:

1. The new CL system. IT HAS GOT TO GO!

2. The new "magical" aspects of the game. The partical effects and new mage like healing.

3. The new weapon sound effects. They are truely "t3# 5uXX0r"

Likes:

1. DOT WEAPONS ARE GONE!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. No more uber armor

3. All form of toughness are gone

4. AP system is gone

5. Each profession has a role

6. High level creatures seem to havea DPS on par with an elite master level combatprofession.

Well thats all I have for now, but Im sure I'll come up with more once I get farther along in the CH tree.

pretty much agree with joker on the likes and dislikes

except the role aspect lol sorry Joker,

yea everyones supposed to have a role but the way I see it and have experienced it the hate system sorta dictates the role in certain groups, since the tanks have or one of em anyways has to use taunt continously, yea yea yea its his role Ive heard this from people justifying it, if its the tanks role to spam taunt then thats pretty lame lol.

But it is TC and things should change, this needs tweaking, and the cl thing the more I see and read the more I dislike it.

truthfully no one can tell you to cancel, you may enjoy what others don't. its your call. my advice is pay by the month, dont do the 3 or 6 month plans, call swg/soe by phone and shut off auto enrollement, so it tells you to its time to resubscribe. this way if you dont like it you can leave in a month.

Might be to your liking who knows,

No, I know about the telling to cancel thing, I just want meat and facts which is what I seem to have thus far from the both of you. If anyone else would lke to post an objective opinion about the curb, please post it here. I am too lazy (meaning I work too much) to get on TC and find out for myself.

Thanks all.

i just did marksman 4003, and had no desire to go further..i found the animations "cheesy" looking, and from what i have experienced, a dumbing down of the system, from graduate school to middle school, if you would accept that analogy..but to be fair, i have not operated a toon with master combat skills...honesly i found the game quite annying to play, i did not like the limited use of combat skills, and found the hinderinces to rifle to be very extreme. despite what others say i found the level of the "adjusted" mobs to be relativly on par with the current system..i remember a rock beetle being a tough fight as a noob, and it still is..

as you get more skills the action bar comes into ply..it depletes as you use specials..at this point i don't see the purpose of the mind bar..it seems to do nothing at all.

it takes longer to kill a target and it also requires your full attention, no special spamming..which i know a lot of people objected to, but i really didn't mind spamming head shots at all...so i suppose that is what is meant by a more interactive gaming experience....can't really comment on the level system, but from what joker and jope have posted, it seems like a built in exploit, so i suppose if everyone who groups becomes uber, that is the devs idea of balance

it's still up in the air exactly how the "hate" system is going to work, pets may no longer be tanks, just pure weapons..for me this is not an acceptable trade off..i liked doing damage while a pet tanked, and it seems this style of play is being removed..so i don't see how your pet doing slightly more damage balances you not beig able to do any, you cannot run with a rifle equipped either, so the mch/mrifle combo that was so effective may be useless now.

if you need to group to do anything, it doesn't give you a lot of options if your friends aren't on..and that is what i loked about the game before..you could have some fun solo...so for me, i hate what i have seen..that's my opinion

Dumbing Down is a very appropriate term. The new system is clearly designed for children with ADD, EQII players, and Diablow players. All substance has been replaced with bad graphics, and besides the fact that its testing stage Buggy as Hell, it not a lot of fun at novice levels. I havent been on to tell if the Blue Frogs are giving out Elite Proffs yet, my own account ownership will ride on my experiences when they do......

I think the only way to know if it sucks is to try it for yourself.

I, and everyone else here could hate it, but then you could love it. I don't like the news and info that I have heard regarding the CU, but I'm still gonna check it out because the experience will beat word of mouth anytime.

The problem is that I am a follower, much like a lemming. I cant make rational judgements for myself and I appreciatre any unbiased input put forth into this thread. (And I work WAY TOO MUCH to grind a character on TC without putting my marriage at risk). I am also incapable of any brain activity after 7-8 in the evening so I must rely on what others tell me to form opinions in my sleep.

Seriously, I appreciate the feedback thus far.

To be quite honest, we still don't have enough objective information on the elite professions, especially Creature Handler, to know if it's good or bad for the game. Most of us simply don't have the time to grind out the professions to Master to even try them, and they haven't given us skill-builder frogs yet.

Until that happens, I can't personally judge the CU as being good or bad. Right now, it's just grinding which isn't fun and isn't productive testing IMO.

Ya im 0323 in CH (on TC)and I've recently been slammed with a huge english project that leaves me with little time for the grind. I would like to master sometime within th next few days but I simply dont se how that is going to be an option.

Wow... lucky you, I'm merely 2000 scout because all the stuff I've tried to kill that would give me decent XP poofs right before it dies and I can't damage lairs to make more things spawn. And when I do kill something, I get about 20 scout XP from it so it takes days to even come close to leveling a new box.
