Just posted at starwars.com today. This includes actual in-game screenshots of players riding the bolotaur and varactyl.

Um that is nice but will Mounts be any more usefull than vehicles?
The one advantage they had (mounted combat without specials) is now gone.
It's kind of like giveing artisans another birdcage.

Mounted combat without specials is not gone. You can still use /attack to execute your character's default attack while mounted. But either way, I linked this article because I thought people might like to see the mounts in use because they are new and have gotten a very positive response from the brief glimpses we've had so far. I'm sorry if this wasn't to your liking.

AH so /attack will work.
When I tried that on TC5 last time it wouldn't work.
I do appreciate the SS's Vert, but I have valid questions on mounts.
Will there be any advantage to them anytime soon?
Will the new mounts be BE required for Non-CH versions.
Are they going to do anything about the "time sink" for growing mounts.
We have a small market for mounts, people lose intrest when you tell them that they have to find a BE to make the mount then wait a week after you tame it to be able to mount it.
Imagine an artisan saying your bike will take a week to assemble. They have elimated many other "time sinks" in the game (shuttles, vendor searches), why not let us instantly mount creatures that we tame. It can still "grow" in HAM but the graphic can stay mountable.

Those look slick, although I do have a couple of negative comments. First, they need to do some work on the Bolotaur, it seems like the rider's legs are clipping inside the saddle graphic. The way you're mounted on it also puts the legs at an angle that would shatter your pelvis if you tried it in RL without acrobatic training....
Also, why do they keep taunting us with the BARC? Only newbies who buy the triple box set get one anyway, is there really any need to keep rubbing it in our faces?

Uhm, how do you figure.
I had mounts in live and attack while on them. I also have a mount in CU, and can attack on him. Once again, no specials.
