Thread: I'm not a CH, but how can they do this to you guys (and others...)

Fact is, there are loyals, and diehards with each and every profession.
How can they justfity canceling your profession, after many of you flat out just paid 29.99 for an expansion. Considering that CH is a profession that I'd assume is what keeps some of you all in this game...without it, there IS no game to some. Ugg...my head hurts.

CH is the one combat/hybrid profession I've never gotten tired of...
BE is the one crafting profession I could actually stand to do extensively...
both are going the way of the dodo...
I spent $60 to buy the expansion for both of my accounts...
They are dumbing down the game yet again (I wasn't around pre-CU but I've heard that the version I've been playing is adumbed down version).
I enjoyed searching for new pets and new specials (new to me)on Mustafar...I thoroughly enjoyed combat with my pets...I got so used to it that the frist character I created when City of Villains went live was a Mastermind...their version of a CH...I love having things I can control...
now that all goes away...
two things are keeping me from cancelling both of my accounts:
1. I've spent too much time and money on my SWG experience to just cancel it...
2. My character on Corbantis had been working on getting to Jedi for a while now...only have 2 phases left until I can go fight the M dude and do the padawan trials. I still want to play this game as a Jedi. I would much rather do it via the village grind though...makes me feel like I accomplished something...I think most Jedi or FS people will agree with me on that...

I doubt I'll ever get to Master.
I am 3 x x 2 at teh moment. I'm not in it for a grind. I am playing it because i enjoy it.
I had a lvl 15 cannibal dewback who was with me up until I got greater sludge panthers. It was damn difficult to remove him from my datapad. We went through a lot together. I got him fully trained and everything. Watching him come bounding back to me after a kill like an ecstatic puppy made me laugh every time.
So i have some inkling of what Master Creature Handlers are going through right now. Its a hard knock, no doubt about it.

I really don't think SOE care tbh mate i wonder when Tiggs & Thunderheart found out that this was happening? Or perhaps JFreeman and Rouge_5 who were both reather nice and pleasant and gave out good info on ToW and CH, you have to wonder if they new what was going on and what they were thinking when the were posting about all the good stuff to us...

The truth is everyone is going to be hurt by this not just chs. The game has finally going to hit rock bottom oversimplified fps. The truth is though I can play fps without paying 15 bucks a month. This was beyond dumb on their part lets just erase people that will make them want to stay.
I think the net result is that everyone is quitting now and the devs dont really seem to care.

Yeah i think its complete FBS! I loved taming pets!! I would hope they would add CH skills into one of the other 9 professions!

I'm not a CH either. I was only one once back during the hologrind. But I've always loved CH's (except when they used to march 3 grauls through me when I was dancing in Theed). They are kind of the quirky subculture within the game. Also anyone I know who was a CH during the new revamp was loving it.
I really feel for you guys. Some other professions need to suck it up and get over it. You guys are the ones who are getting screwed. I'm truly sorry. I know it doesn't mean much, but /hug.

I'll miss using my pets to spice up the other profs days by doing tricks, providing mounts, and stopping whole raiding parties while I tame a rare find.
I think alot of the wilderness flavor leaves the game with our profession. Thanks for putting up with us quirky critter folk. /wink /lopsidedgrin

I will play this new game, but Galaxies dies with my pets Diefenbaker, Bitz, Poofling, Uriah, and Apocalyte.
