I just finished getting master Ranger Master CH combo, with as much medic as possible and I have to say I enjoy it alot... but having said that the combat is rather rubbish.
So... I decided to utilise my ranger abilities to get the best pets available then drop ranger and get CH + a master combat profession. First off I would like to ask what works best for PvE with CH...
Secondly... I would ask any of you to list a good set of pets to hunt for, whether they be rare or common etc.
I already caught myself an Ancient Repitlian Flier... it is pretty good.

I'm one box of investigation from MBH + MCH + CM4000. This allows good but not great ranged combat with self healing and pet healing. I almost hate to go BH (have you *seen* the screaming 13 year olds on that board, lol) but it is the only combat profession you can master with MCH and CM4000, both of which I enjoy immensely. And actually, BH is quite fun also, with a good mix of specials and skill mods.
If I were to take the CM out of the equation, I'd consider master pistoleer as well.

Am I seeing things wrong. According the Character builder I have had (came out just after the CU) I can't eget MBH/MCH and CM 4/x/x/x. It leaves me a branch short. Did they make changes to this post CU?

I'm a MPistols / MCH / Medic -21- / (FS stuff) and enjoy the template greatly. I am contemplating a switch to the above MBH/MCH/CM 4---, but merely because I change templates regularly. Since I'm busy grinding pet XP to learn abilities, might as well have something to grind as well to pass the time
Biggest current complaint with above template is that it doesn't have bacta spray, an ability that is highly prized for me. If I weren't pursuing FS for the extra character slot, I'd probably dump all points into Medic to pick up at least -4-- just for a convenience factor.
Final form, I'm expecting MCH/MDoc/Medic 444-/ (24 points in FS). I want to rely on my pets heavily, and doctor buffs will hopefully just enhance their abilities, allowing me to sit in the back and plink away with a ALR and heal them as needed. But I'm aware I'll sorely miss Stopping Shot and Warning Shot at the end.

You can see from the sig what template I took, and I really like it. Hard as nails
The only word of warning is mind out for suppression fire (dont use it) or you will aggro a whole lair onto you at once
