Thread: MCH MRifles vs Krayt ??

Just curious if a Master Rifleman / Master Creature Handler can solo a Krayt dragon (giants and ancients). If so what pet would i need to tank?

right after the CU, i duo'd them with my husband, i was CH and he's BH/carbineer. he can solo them just fine with his snare, but having me there made it go so much faster. at that time i was using 3 girlie nargs, they stopped the krayt's regen pretty much which is a big factor in long solo fights.
the rifleman snare itself is pretty worthless IMO, your own hinderance with a rifle makes you slower than any mob you snare with it. you'd probably want a pet with aggression L3, hamstring if it works, other than that i don't know but i am curious to see how you do. good luck

What does a tank need? Defences, armour and most importantly Taunts! Go that way. Oh and slap a health regen on him too. =)
I'd do it something like this... Aggresion L1 (don't think you need any more) or if he still doesn't hold aggro updated it to L2 and so on. Remeber to try out the Aggresion first to see how well the pet holds aggro (choose a mob with a lot of HP that isn't a threat) Next, I'd say it would be the armour and defences. Get it up to L1. Then slap the health regen on him...
With all the skills L1 you use up 4 ability points. If it has 1 more choose an ability of your choise =)

I can solo Juveniles with MCH + MBH + Medic 0030.. Im switching to MCH + MBH + 4000 CM for better heals and should be able to handle Canyon Krayt.. but no way I could do Giant or larger styles..
