Evening all.

I'm fairly new to the world of a Creature Handler. I've read the New CH faq and all thatbut I'm curious. A person that starts out as a Novice CH gets to lets say pet's level of 24 overall (2nd Tier I believe). Now is it possible for me to pull out two Level 12 Wrixes or a Wrix and a Minor Sludge Panther? Or am I still not able to pull out two pets yet at this point? Reason I'm asking is because I would really like to know if I'm gonna be grinding until I am in the 3rd Tier of CH where I can pull out a second pet. Thoughts, suggestions, etc are all welcome.

Two pets is not all that important except for image. Unless you are getting some of the UBER CL10 pets. The reason is if you get 1000XP per kill with one pet, you get 500 each with two pets (in theory but not always the case). So just play for commands. What ever is closest and most useful to get. You need taming to so you can use vicious creatures.

To use to pets you need managment three. Thats where the skill mode that says addtional pets +1, you can use three at master.

But like Pluto says 2 pets is no help at grinding, it might even impeded your grinding process so sticck to one pet un till you are MAster or atleast have completed 3/4 of the skill tree.

Ok, that's actually good to know. Now I remember some people state that sometimes when using pets in battle, they get like 1 point of CH xp. How do I avoid that? Do I take on harder mobs, let my pet do a bulk of the fighting, or something else?

This is the key go to darthomir, get in a large group and do enraged rancor missions, dont use any pet higher than lvl 30, your pet only has to hit the rancor once then pull it off so it doesn't get incpped. That is why I am 4-4-3-4, I would be master but I have no skill points and I am consider what I shold drop. Eighter Novice Medic or Master Artisan, Both of them I dont want to give up.

This is caused by using a higher level pet on a lower level mob. I.E. CL 30 pet kills CL 20 mob = 1 point. To prevent this you either go after high level mobs or use a low level pet on mid level mobs. Like everything else with Creature Handler, there is some bugs with this but that is the general rule. The pet only has to hit the mob once to get full credit. Some people use a low level baby pet on yard trash to grind the first few boxes. I think they get around 100 xp per kill but you can kill alot in a short time.
