Thread: Do pet food buffs work?
Blap biscuits do buff the health bar.
Of course, you an always talk a doc friend into buffing all six H and A stats of your pets, too. The thing is, my master doc/working on CM toon does this and gets the same med XP from buffing a pet that he does when buffing a player.
And if you want to do it, you can store the pet, wipe the buffs, and do it again. For the same XP.
Don't waste his buff packs on the Secondaries. I did this in my early grind whenI buffed a female kaadu and tanked bols.
Secondary buffs do NOT change the regen rate on your pets.
Health and Action work well.
For the Mind bar, let me suggest this macro.

Hmmm - this might have changed at some point. Certainly the buffed secondaries worked when I did it a few months back. You do have to buff them a lot for it to be noticeable however, 500+ since the creature secondariesare mostlyaround the 40 mark. At that point they do (did)regen slowly between fights - but not enough to be noticeable during fights or enough to replace using stims.
Hard to say if the secondary buffs help the pet regen faster. I in any case, do the pets draw on their stamina andquick pools (or whichever pools are the ones that affect how much specials cost...I get them confused so easily) for the costs of generating special attacks? Interesting issue.
The bottom line is that if you're looking for med XP and are willing to expend the buff packs to do it, you get the same med XP from buffing a TKM as you do for buffing a dwarf nuna, if you're still working your way up the doc or CM trees. Med XP is med XP.

I think you mean dont waste packs on Str and Quickness? These stats affect how much you "spend" on specials, and pets never spend HAM, so they're pointless. Buffing Con and Stam can dramatically affect pet's regen rates. Witha good buff, the overall HAM of a pet isnt as important as DPS taken vs regen rate (ie, KR and AR/intim). A decent pet can tank missions on Dant all day with just a little downtime and you'll never need to usea stim.

You can do quarter second pauses to keep it fast.

If you're using the new Chef foods to buff your pets, you'll want to drag the food onto the pet from your inventory window. Don't use the "Feed" radial option. That's still just for healing Health/Action wounds, and won't take advantage of any buffing properties the food might have.
