Thread: rasps
I have looked for Green (Song) and Purple (Flit) babys on Talus with no luck but have only tapped a few nests.
These are all under CL10 and the Entertainers in my guild realy get a kick out of them.
It is too bad that they do not do any tricks. :/

I'd say look for an agrilat rasp. They're found, logicially enough, in the Agrilat swamp on Corellia, SW of Doaba Guerfel. Unfortunately, unless something has changed, the really colorful plumed rasps don't spawn babies.
Actually, Plumed rasps do spawn babies now, at least on Corellia. I was looking for an Agrilat rasp a week or two ago, and a plumed rasp baby came out of the nest. I also ran into another nest that was primarily plumed rasps (though all rasp nests seem to produce rasps of varying types), and it produced babies as well.
Many of my friends are entertainers, and most of them like birds, so I went around trying to collect as many rasps as I could. My biggest problem with the Agrilat Swampis that it doesn't seem to produce many spawns of anything inside (in the black area). I tried flying my swoop through to wake it up, but nothing really came of it. All the Corellian plumed and Agrilat rasps I've found have been in a narrow band just outside the swamp itself.
Unfortunately, swgcreatures.com seems to be wrong with many of the rasps. At last look, song rasps, percussion rasps, pretty much all rasps on Talus say "Tameable: No". Unless said rasps also spawn somewhere on Corellia, they're on the extinct list.
Anyway, I hope that's some help! ![]()

Yea, the rasps really aren't very useful and only for show, but there is a bird with pretty good tricks, and thats the Whisper Bird of Endor, too bad its CL 21 though, they'd make great dance companions for entertainers and dancers.
those are lantern birds. whisper birds are the untamable birds that inhabit yavin 4.

Nhari, I'm pleased to hear this! I haven't tramped around in the Agrilat much lately, so wasn't aware that the plumed rasps (particularly the spectactular majestic plumed rasp) were spawning babies. This is good news!
- Agrilat rasps, Agrilat Swamp [Purple, flat beak]
- Plumed rasps, Agrilat Swamp [Blue, orange chest, flat beak]
- Horned rasps, Talus (just about anywhere) [White/greyish-blue, cardinal-type beak]
I look forward to a time when the rest will be obtainable.
