I have gone through about 100 mantrigue screecher lairs and not found a single baby! Where did you guys get yours? Were you grouped with alot of people? I'm only with myself and two others to get the missions, two spawning at a time, been at this for about a month, not found a single baby yet. While im on the subject of frustration, I have also killed hundreds of merek looking for a deaths head, scoured all of endor looking for even ADULT widows, killed a bajillion webmasters, yet to see a baby webby either, what the heck? Am I just terribly unlucky? Or is something up here? I am a few days of frustration away from dropping CH, as I really only like using wild pets, but I can't tame the big baddies I REALLY want, it's no fun at all!

I currently have 1 screecher and 2 widows.

In all three cases (four I had 1 screecher get killed on me after it aggroed me and we ran too close to a Webmaster) I was solo and running with a BE cat with 60% kinetic resist. I did not pull any missions for the lairs. I wandered southeast and south of the Science station. The Widow lairs are easier to find, there is usually 1 queen and 2 widows. I learned rather quick to ignore the queen and lay a DOT on a widow with your Mask Scent intact. After to plant the DOT pull back to about 90 meters and wait for the Widow to aggro (if your cover gets blown, bail and wait for everything t ocalm down). When the Widow aggros and is about 70 meters or so send the pet in. USe your judgement on this, the idea is to not pull the other Arachne in to help. In both cases of getting my Widow babies, I had to put down about 6 or so Widows before the prize spawned.

With the Screechers, again, random spawns in the same area as the Widows (anywhere from 600m to 1000+), I had to take out the adults and then tap the lair. I went through a lot of Pet Stims. I do not know the exact range of the Disease DOT, I figure somewhere around 20 meters. IF I stayed outside of that range I did not get hit. If you can use the same DOT tactic as I mention with the Widows, then you can try to draw the Screecher over near by lairs of non-aggro creatures. Once Mr Screecher lays out his DOT, the Non-aggros will join the fight. For the first Screecher baby, I spent a VERY long time working the adults as they popped. When I finally got to the point of a clear lair and I tapped it, I believe an adult spawned, then a baby. After that one was killed, I took a break and started again.

This time I came across an area where 3 screecher lairs were relatively close along with a couple of Aggro lairs (Boar Ravager, Venom-filled Arrachne, etc.). Anyway, again, with just me and my pet (and a ton of Pet stims), we started working the lairs, one at a time. This time it seemed to go faster, I think some of the screechers may have wandered off and tangled with the other near by Reds. I destroyed one of the lairs and was working on the second one, after tapping the lair, I had an adult pop and it aggroed on me immediately I ran. As soon as I was about 60m or so away from the lair I sent my pet in. After we finished it off, I was surprised to see a single yellow dot by the lair. Lo and behold a baby without any 'escort'...

I hope there is some helpful information.
