Thread: Taming Babies with Mask Scent on...
That has never been my experience. As a Master Bio Engie / Master CH, I use Mask Scent as a matter of habit as I spend so much time sampling DNA off of beasties (hardly ever have it off). But when it does drop, I have never had an aggro issue with taming. Now a baby might aggro you as a result of trying to tame and having the tame go very bad. This has happened, but not because my mask scent was down.
A caveat to this is if the parents aggro you without mask scent, and the baby gets caught in the "aggro zone" of the parents, it might attack you. That has happened to me. But it was because the parents were close and aggroed, not because the baby was being tamed with mask scent or anything.
Hope that helps,
Fizzics

Hmm, actually...
I've had Mask Scent on, started taming a baby, and had it's mommy and daddy start attacking me after breaking Mast Scent.
Though I was "in combat" I had no weapon or auto-attack on.
I took the damage from it's parents without fighting back, and while still in combat, I tamed the baby!
So, I don't think Mask Scent is a factor - it's just a matter of whether the taming goes right or not. And if you (or your pets) attack the parents, the baby will aggro you (or your pets).

Same here as well. Ancient Reptilian Fliers are known for it.
