Thread: New CH
just became a novice ch and I cannot tell what babies I can tame or not tame. I know that it has to be non-agro but other than that, I have been having trouble figuring out what I can't tame... My cl level is 25 with novice ch, but on examine I do-not see anything related to cl level so I can automatically know what I should waste time training and what I shouldn't waste time training.
If you're not aMaster Scout you won't be able to see it I don't think... you'll just have to use the radial menu to see if Tame is there as an option.
Not sure, I could be wrong, but I don't think that as Novice CHyou can tame anything anon ch can't use...meaning your ability ability to tame anything above CL 15 is non existant. At Tame 1 you get +10 to CL which would give you the ability to tame CL 25 pets.
Although there are times when for some reason I haven't been able to tame certain creatures that I should be able to. Like Diseased Vrelts.their only level 8 and non-aggro.
Basicly if Tame comes up on the radial menu you can tame it if not then you can't.
If you have Taming I you can tame lvl 25.
If you were a Master scout you'd be able to see what level they are, which makes it a little easier.
Good Luck and have fun.

ok i am a little confused, basicly everything i've read says CH sucks in pvp and pve... i have a few questions but first a little about my character, he is a master TKA and working on getting master CH i was planning on get smuggler dirty fighting 3 for low blow a knockdown, for runners but now i might need to drop that for novice medic so i can keep pet alive. my goal was to get 2 faction pets (or 1 at st, not sure how that works yet) 1 combat droid and 2 pets, getting doctor buffs and being the tank with pets off tanking or just pure damage, i thought this would make me a good soloer as well as maybe a group, i thought it might be good for pvp but now i a little worried... any opinions or exp with this template please let me know now a few questions, please assume all questions are asked about a master creature handler
1) just how bad is CH in pvp?
2) what would be the best pets for pvp and or pve with my template?
3) Is there any way to keep pets from attacking until you want them to? i've tried pet stay and even spaming pet follow me
4) ok assume at MCH you get level 60 pets, does this mean i will be able to summon either 1 level 60 pet or 2 level 30 pets or 3 level 20 pets?
5) can i still summon 2 pets, 1 droid and 2 faction pets?
1.) You are completely useless in PvP with your CH skills and will have to depend on your other skills. Your pet can disappear on you at any time, or stop listening, and you'll even then have to hope you can find a BE'd pet with decent PvP resists. If you do, it will still get shredded.
2.) BE'd pets. Period.
3.) Don't tell the pet to guard you and it won't attack on its own, unless its got a real bad temperment problem.
4.) Yes
5.) No (to the best of my knowledge. I can't prove this on my own as I don't have droids or faction pets, but everyone I know has to store them to take out their pets.)
