Thread: Best pet?
Any help is appreciated. THX!
Then there's the site just past the river west of the smugglers outpost. They're no so common around here but they're past the rancors. Again this is a long trek over 3000-4000m.
Go to the Science outpost. Make a waypoint at the far far SW corner and head straight there. You'll find all the grauls.
All i do is look for anything red to me.
If it can kick my ass it's a good pet.
Then again that plan fails sometimes when they get older..
Whats the best pet i can use with training 2_taiming 2 ?
And what is the best pet i can use with training 3_taiming 3?
And what is the best pet i can use with training 4_taiming 4?
im new to creature handler so i dont know![]()
sorry if this has been asked before
the search only allows for 1 word...so i can't search on best_pet
Well I'm only at 2,1 (taming, training) so I can't really help beyond that but right now my pet line-up consists of the following pets...
2 Kliknik Defenders (Light Armor, 7500 HAM, 25% kinetic, ranged attack) from Yavin IV (aggro)
1 Salt Mynock (Light Armor, 6500 HAM, 20% (?) kinetic) from Lok (aggro)
1 Mutated Kahmurra (Light Armor, 7000 HAM, 20% kinetic) from Talus (non-aggro)
Before I had Taming II, I just had 3 GSPs and the mutated Kahmurra...
The search allows for multiple words - at least the advanced option does for me. For the most part you won't get a 'best' pet as different scenarios call for diversity. That and as a whole the CH community really doesn't like the idea of a 'best pet'.
My advice is look for armor first. Then look for resists - kinetic for pve and acid / heat / energy for pvp. Resists in pvp won't matter much so it's not a big deal - most players aren't gunning for your pet - but that brings us to the next point. Also check speed - not just on flat ground either. Creatures like grauls have trouble with hills and you'll find they fall behind when hunting. In pvp cats like gurreks and wrixs are great because they are so **edit** fast.
Also consider attack types - a ranged pet seems like a bloody great idea until they pull an entire pubam camp on top of you
That's not hard to adapt to if you are solo, but sometimes you get a group that can't handle it.
Probably about the best thing to do is ask a variety of CH's on your server what they like to use - that way you find out what creatures they like for a variety of individual play styles. Also check out swgcenter.com to shop around for pet stats. Many are wrong but it's still a useful resource.
Just so I don't totally avoid your question, my advancement was something like, cupa > rock beetle > grand wrix > giant sand beetles (2 pre nerf) > aracne warriors (2) / aracne webmaster> [MCH]frenzy graul / graul maulers (2)/ bile drenched quenkers (2) / Gurrek / Toxic Merrek Battlelord
i am new to CH also and i have experimented with a few things but the best i have found so far has been either a rock beetle or a varigated Womp Rat
