Thread: HEY THE DEVS HEARD US!!
I appreciate all your great feedback so far. Thunderheart is out on vacation which is why you are not seeing a lot of Dev responses on this thread in the last few days. I did want to take a little time to update you on what we have decided in regards to changes to removing the camp restriction for calling pets, droids, mounts and vehicles. We have decided to alter our changes so that calling a pet, mount, vehicle or droid will work like normal without the new time delays when called from a Scout camp or inside a city. Effectively, this means calling a pet, droid, mount or vehicle will work the same in Publish 7 as it currently does when called from a Scout camp or city. When calling outside a Scout camp or city, the new changes will apply.Zoooom!
The request was to be able to call pets in the wild without a camp AND without the30 second timer.
The devs lame excuse for the30 second timer was that we'd be able to exploit without it. Yet they're letting us call in cities without the timer or camp.
So what happened to this supposed exploit which was the only reason for the30 second timer?

Evilnerf,
How do you figure they heard us? There is no reason what so ever why we need a camp to call a pet, so we complain and they remove it(kind of), so what do they give us? a restraining bolt(figuratively speaking), aka 30 sec timer. Basicly the devs have done the old bait and switch, they claim to give us something but in reality gave us something worse. the bad part is you fell for it. We as CH are balanced, exploits and griefs are a thing of the past. Remove the restriction all together, itserves no purpose but to gimp us more.

My question exactly.
One of the reasons I'm steamed about this is that the devs are frankly insulting our intelligence with this lame reasoning.

w00t!!! Finally some good news!
Don't let them dazzle you with their crap this isn't the first time we've been gamed this way. It's called "reciprocal concession" and it's part of every good marketing strategy.
You go into a store intending to spend no more than say, $75. They offer you $15 off of a $100 purchase and since they conceded that $15, the least you can do for them is concede your extra $10. Who got the better end of that deal? In the end they only intended to charge $85 but the illusion of a deal led you to spend more than your limit.
The new plan only looks good relative to the old plan. The problem here is that I'm not convinced that the Devs didn't intend to go with the new plan from the get-go and they're just appeasing us by making it look like we got a deal.
Bottom line.
It will be faster to drop camp and pull pet the wait 30 sec. so what is the point off the change?
Not to help CH to help people with cars, droids, and pets that are not scouts and can not make camp.
