Thread: Training Ability Slots please update this chart
Trainable Ability Slots are gained periodically through the course of using your pet, until the pet reaches its maximum, based upon the CL range of the creature.
The following is a Temporary Trainable Ability Slot chart. More information still needs to be gathered, to insure its accuracy. This chart does not include any Ability Slots that the pet was tamed with, since tamed Abilites appear to be 'free'. Each CL of creature appears to have a range of Trainable Ability Slots that is random, but based upon a set range.
CL 1 - 15 = 3 - 5 Trainable Ability Slots
CL 16 - 30 = 4 - 6 Trainable Ability Slots
CL 31 - 45 = 5 - 7 Trainable Ability Slots
CL 46 - 60 = 6 - 8 Trainable Ability Slots
CL 61 - 70 = 7 - 9 Trainable Ability Slots
A system message will appear each time your pet gains either Training Points, or a Trainable Ability Slot
Reason I ask for the update is the following info.
CL 51 Mauler no inate ability 9 slots 273 training points
CL 61 Stoneskin 11 no inate ability slots 480 training points
CL 68 Ancient Reptillian 12 slots and Inate Aggression L3 465 training points

As is stated, the chart is only temporary until more information has been supplied.
Your listed information is not true for all pets of the same CL. The only way that the chart can be updated, since I don't tend to use high CL pets, is for the community to supply more data, which has been lacking. ![]()
Has this chart been updated by anyone? The original post and the reply are dated 9/7/05, one month ago today. Does anyone have additional exceptions to the chart? What about BE pets? Any exceptions to the 'rule' that their maximum possible number of abilities is one less than the max possible for a wild pet of the same CL with no innate abilities?

level 69 Young Reptilian Flyer - tamed with innate aggression 3 and has 12 additional ability slots
2 x BE level 70 pets (veermok and razor cat) - both maxxed out at 9 ability slots.
There seems to be a larger difference in ability slots between wild and BE pets than i thought - i am sure i read somewhere that BE pets only get 1 ability slot less?
The CL70 Shear Mite Soldiers I have fully trained have 12 trainable slots, plus the L3ability they were tamed with, for a total of 15 slots. I have two fully trained, 410K rounded X12 slots = 4,920,000 XP each to grind them out
. Well, not grind, I have tons of resources I have sold, and lots of faction for running some missions with them, and played the game doing it--a Macro doesn't let you do that, and, I think the whole yard-trash thing is , well, laughable, at least for me. All of my pets have taught me commands in about 1 and 1/2 rotations, with some much less than that--inlcuding the L3's. I've always hunted since I joined this game 3 years or whatever ago, so the pets are along for the ride.
As far as the chart goes, and lot of other things go, including pet ability definitions, I can not for the life of me understand why the developers have not released a list of commands, what they do, and the figures to support why they do what they do .......Unless they haven't figured out themselves how it works or why
