Thread: Bonus to skills and abilities i think a CH should have

1. Invest in knockdown recovery. How hard is this seriously to just get some knockdown recovery. Note as a CH your pet does get knockdown recovery. You have to make some hard decissions when it comes to templateing. You cant have your cake and eat it too. Did I really want combat medic in my template no, but I needed it without it in a game high on healing I get eaten alive without it. Buck it up and take some brawler or ranged otherwise you limit your content to mobs lower then your pet.
2. We get defense bonuses in pet special abilities.
A. You got self sacrafice which will let your pet take some damage directed at yo.
B. You got aggression to ensure the enemy does not break off of your pet.
3. We can get a bonus to maskscent its called tapes be clothes and at level 80 we already get a signifigant boost to things not going after us.
4. Invest in some medic. Thats all I can tell you once you got medic your in a good spot.
lol the old we got pet ablity line on why we do not have any added defenses like other combat professions. Last I checked they did not have to hunt down a certain gunand or medic item to gain the added bounes. I am a HAWT wookiee MasterCH/Tka
and with these so called awsome ablites I have never had a pet hold a single agro.
Nope not going to do the jedi grind for ablities just to see my pets fall like a level 1 newbie to a level 80 JEDI. Do I care what BE pets can do? Nope not one bit. As long as there is a 10 level difference between the best pet we can use and the high end stuff I do not see any advantage to the ablities.
heal pet = target comes for you
outdamage pet = target comes to you
use pet in group = lol nope never came for me since I am a TKA after all and can never outdamage my pistoleer and rifleman friends.
In closeing would be nice to see some added melee and ranged defenses and one more thind :

Invest in brawler/marksman is15 skill points, ok that maybe worth it but i dont understand why not other proffessions that are in combat cant get up if they are knocked down, a doc, a ranger, a CH should all have those abilities i think.
Some pet healing abilities should be ok in my eyes because i think we need more abillities that interact with our pets. Improved gallop and healing of pets i think should be some of them, pet healing ability would make you free to remove cm from your template if you want to.

Yes but they dont help you when you are taming pets, because you needto have the pets you use as bodyguards stored away when you tame new ones. So you are totaly defenseless taming a Rancor baby if you arent lvl80 because then will he not agro on you and kill you, a lvl54 master CH is dead meat agaisnt a lvl50 critter if it agro. But as most it seems as most stuff in this game is just geared towards lvl80, they can freely without a risk go and tame any creature. I am a master CH i dont ask foruber powers i ask for a chans to do somethign challanging without instant death.

A very good skill i got it on my BE lvl70 Graul it has saved me many times when i was out placing harvesters, but doesnt help me when i am out taming critters and needs my pets stored away.

Good for use in combat but still not usefull on my taming trips.

Yes but us that hasn't more lvls then 54 because we got other things in our template, voritors eats us alive. Try to tame anythign hostile over lvl45. They agro and in large amounts as they now spawn in groups of 20+. The bioclothes helsp good against lower lvls critters thaty doesn't aggro any way, so maskscent bonus with the bio clothes. tapes and jawa beer should make you allmsot safe i think, even if you are lvls below 80.

Yes medic is good but it is more skillpoints tied up in it, i am not a warrior so i use my pets to run of, medic should be good if i wanted to fight long fights, but it still not stop me think we should have the ability to tend the wounds of our pets withotu medic skills.
WithCU they simply changed our pets and added battle armour certification to us but they didn't changed us fully out, why should a Doc get defense bonuses when some one that are taming dangerous creatures dont get some that is totaly over my head. I got a feeling all ppl want us to be lvl80 warriros with great intrest in be in combat 24/7 but some of us aren't so we suffer, all because it is a lvl80 player game, lvl73 if you only do pvp. a BE/CH combo is lvl56 and they arent uncommon, a ranger/ch combo is lvl80 but can't kill anythign bigger then lvl70 effective, if they are solo. I dont aks for uber abilities only to make the CH proffession abit stronger in it self. After all some got Ch only to collect pets and have fun with pets, they dont want to plan out an 1337 template to be able to do it.
