I don't know about "really tough", but there have been a heck of a lot of CH's waiting on the rebalance on the basis that we are the only profession to have already been "rebalanced" and aren't likely to be "rebalanced" again (i.e. nerfed).
What many are expecting is that the current combat professions will get a good dose of the old nerf-bat.
We won't actually improve - just the other profssions are likely to be realigned so that pets will have a purpose again as tanks. The last few changes, principally to buffs and the melee classes, has made the CH pretty well obsolete in groups since a buffed melee specialist is far, far more effective than even a CL 70 uber-beast...........
The other theoretical safety-valve is that our pets are the same as the creatures found in the wild - so will automatically be "balanced".
Unfortunately, the more I hear about SOE's aims with the combat changes the more I suspect that CH WILL get a dose of the nerf-bat.
I suspect they will use the yardstick "maximum soloable MoB = a rancor". In order to keep CH in this category I could well see them doing something really popular, like reducing the maximum creature levels controllable to 50...............

The more I think about it, it seems that CH's may be really tough after the re-balance. Since it really does not take any ham to use a pet and you can have a rancor, and the Devs say you will no longer be able to solo things like a rancor, it just may be a good time to get CH again. I would like to hear others thoughts on this.
