Creature Handler Archive

I'm making a (roleplayed) CH on Eclipse at the mo' and wanted to have some combat on him to try for a while.

I may droppistol later and go Ranger, haven't really made my mind up totally but I don't want to master Pistoleer with CH since I find it hard to drop Master titles *grins*

So - assuming I could have two trees of Pistoleer (one at 3, one at 4), has anyone done something similar and did it work?

I thought of 3040 Pistoleer for the defense mods - anyone tried that?

Is everyone just thinking "Why doesn't he just ask on Pistoleer forum?"

Because he wants to hear from Creature Handlers who have a little bit of pistol, not PvP Pistoleers

If no-one replies, I'll just go try it out myself as usual.

hey purp, I'm MCH/MBE/Postoleer0040--it's decent for mid-level creature hunts because of the specials, but doesn't do a great deal of damage quickly, so stimming yourself and pets may be often required. Unless you're going to master a ranged profession, pistoleer dabbling is the only way to go because it compliments pets' damage better.

I've been gradually working my way up the pistoleer and creature handling professions. I became a 0043 pistoleer fairly quickly and recommend those columns to you for a complement to PvE creature handling. Those rightmost pistoleer columns are very nice for increasing your damage throughput. At 0040 you get fanshot which is a powerful multi-target attack and at 0004 you get all the pistol speed you can (without mastering or without some other profession like BH or smuggler). Fan shot and the increase in speed will greatly help your damage output which is probably the most important thing since your pets should presumably be tanking for you.
