If so, could someone tell me what non-CH flying pets are available in the game?

cool site called swgcreatures.com, but I can tell you right now, any non-ch tamable pets are gonna be worth anything in PvP, and flying creatures can not be BEd. That and I don't think they can attack anyone in the water.

Found a bunch of possible birds to use. I think I'm going to try to get a flit harasser. The name fits the job description.

I believe the original poster was interested in flying creatures that a non-CH can use. This means CL <= 10 and non-aggresive. This eliminates the flit harrasser (aggresive) and the reptilian fliers and lantern birds (too high of CL). It leaves Corellian butterfly workers and Spineflap gatherers (CL 9). There are of course others with lower CLs but those are two highest CL non-CH flying pets. I don't know for sure if they can attack things in the water.

Good luck.

I don't think they can, but try Enraged/Ancient Reptilian Flyers on Dathomir or Gleaming Lantern Birds on Endor.
