Well if creature certificates do come into place, what would a wookies taming bonus have to offer?

Wouldn't certificates mean that everyone would tame the same pets at the same skill?

Taming bonus would then only allow for you to be able to tame the same creatures that everyone else could at your same skill level, yet alittle quicker and easier. I fail to see any bonus of having it then.

Then again wookies also have 'Wookie Roar' which I have never seen another wookie use in the game to this point. I did in beta, but have never since then since it's useless.

How about a +10 to creature knowledge instead of a taming bonus if certificates come out?

Hmmm....well, extra points for wookies does kinda make sense. They are more animal-like than other species right? And trandoshans are supposed to be mean critters, so they get no bonuses.

But of course the Wookie bonuses even out eventually. A Human, Wookie, Twi'lek, and a Trandoshan, all master CH, will all have the same ability to tame. Wookies just get an early lead so to speak.

Well Trandos are more fierce and war-like than other races, so they'd be less likely to have such bonuses. Trando's already have a monopoly on unarmed with their bonuses. I'm just trying to find a spot for wookies. Besides stats, their starting traits lean toward scout but don't excel at much of anything as do other races for some professions.

Well, I hear wookies have the natural ability to make bowcasters and theoreticly use them with boosted effectiveness. A wookie would make a fine rifleman.

i think the certificate should go by taming points...wookiees still keep an advantage until master and then maybe possibly only wookiees can use BE kimogilias

No, don't make kimos only tameable by wookies. As I said, they all even out at the Master level so they would have to change the system to do this.

Plus, it would be like a slap in the face to me and many others. I chose a Twi'lek, not a Wookie. I think I'm a pretty good guy. Why shouldn't I get my Kimo?

Their bonus gives them a leg-up on every other species for a long time. No need to continue at master.

How did you get a Kimo though? I thought they were bugged still...

well if they go by skill lvls then they dont get the bonus at the beginning..and i cant use the kimo it says i dont have enough skill to tame it and when i do have enough skill itll say no enough room in inventory or something--so yes its still bugged

Ingame I'm a wookie with MasterRanger and 2/1/0/1 CH. I saw in a few posts that a Graul Mauler was available at 3/2/x/x. I purchased a Mauler from another CH. I am a 2/1/0/1 CH and I could use it... The CH told me that was unbelievable to use a such a low skill level. Does being a MasterRanger also give you some sort of CH skill mod? I've been thinking about dropping Master Ranger, but I wont if I will need to pick up more CH to use the Mauler to compensate for losing Master Ranger.

What exactly does it do? I hovered my mouse over it and it just said something very general, like it helps tame creatures. It doesn't seem to affect the max lvl that i can tame. Does it affect my odds of success or failure when taming then? I would appreciate anyone's explaination. Also do clothing that helps taming do the same thing?

It's actually a bonus on taming (you get less failed attempts)

moreover, with +0 on taming vicious creatures you're not able to tame vicious (ie red) creatures
