Hello all of ya beastmasters hehe.

I've always wanted to pick up some CH skills simply because I wanted nicer pets then non-CH can handle/use. Such as a killer rabbit or something lol. As you can see from my template I am master pistoleer/master fencer so I can technically solo almost anything in this game, but i always wanted to have a pet for a support role and..well..they are just cool hehe. So my question is..Is it worth it to pick up only 2 trees in CH to have a support role pets (mind you I will have to drop 1 tree in pistoleer to do that) and if you think it IS worth it, what trees should I pick? Thank you in advance for any feedback

The short answer:

If you want a pet at your side, yes.
If you care about losing combat effectiveness, no.

The slightly longer but not very because I don't have much time answer:

With time to learn some tactics to combine with pets, you can become more effective than without pets if you do not wish to use armor or buffs. They can provide a few specials that you might not have access to or that you do not want to waste time/HAM using.

As a stacker, you will probably find combat harder if you give up skills to become a handler. So really it depends on whether you value the gaining of a companion more than the loss of effectivenss.
