With everyone coming up with different templets, I've been working on one basically for roleplay usage. (I know, not many poeple really care about Roleplay templets, but this one seemed interesting for me.)
the set up for one requires the following.
Scout 4040
Master CH
Bralwler 4xxx (x being your choice of skill other than UA)
TKA 4004
And Master of either Fencer, Pikeman, Swordman
Summary:
There affinity with there animals is as second nature as there ability with there choice of weapon is an extention to there own arm. Most, if not all beings that become a Beast Knight come from a line of such, being past down from Parent to Child for generations. From the time of birth, they are marked with the talent to commune with animals. Upon to coming of age, they are sent forth to find there "companion," the one animal that, no mater what, will always be with them, and though all beasts are special, no other will come before this "companion."
When in battle, the belief of the Beast Knight is they would never send there friends against a foe that they themselves would not face themselves, thus all Beast Knights utilize only melee weapons of swords, polearms or daggers. To send in your friend while you attacked from a distance would be to dishonor your self, as well as your animal bretherin.
Protection of the Beast Knight is usually no more than Bone or Chitin armor, though some have been known to wear the trappings of Ubese armor with a Composit Helm, none have ever been known to wear any other composit other than the helm. The reasons for this is to be as close to the animals they revere so much as possible, and to keep themselves as unimpared as possible for melee combat.
As they become more attuned with the nature around them, they learn how to heal themselves with out the aid of medical assistance, and the ability to increase there strength with an animalistic rage.
Beast Knights will only have one dwelling of any size and will have at least one room that is dedicated to there animal friends, adorned with paintings, statues and the like.
Beast Knights are hunters, utilizing everything they harvest off there prey, wether as food, or shelter.
They are honor bound, and will do what is right to assist those in need. Be that Imperial, Rebel or Neutral, every living being has its place, and the Beast Knight will find his niche there no matter what. A Beast Knight aiding the Impire would not attack an unarmed Rebel, nor would a Knight giving assistance to the Rebilion kill and Imperial, unless no other option was avaliable to him.
(just at thought, i figured it would be intersting to share, this is what Kahles is aspiring to be. His mount is a Dewback, Qapla', and already, I've had to make a choice of either deleting him or another animal so I could make a tame, alas, Qapla' is still with me.

That philosophy(and a couple of friends) is what led me down the Fencer path. I do have some medic and entertainer to be able to heal myself, so I am self-sufficient. I don't wear armor, as my pets don't like the scent of it, and get skittish. My pets are my companions, not cannon fodder. Which leads me to also not sell pets, as that is a betrayal of their trust in me. I have givensome away to friends, who I know will not mistreat them.

One of my RP builds is similar to this. I play a kindly old hermit that helps people. I chose MTKA/MCH with some medic and artisan surveying. I live on a remote mountain on Dant but roam the planets. I help people master professions and am friend to all. I have very low overhead because all the people I have helpped in the past are now masters of their professions. I will drop what I am doing and fly to a planet to help a crafter clear his harvesters, shop, or factory. I escort BE's on sampling missions and act as backup. I teach newb combat professions how to do missions and so on. I train non-BE pets for free and give good pets to Novice CH's. Needless to say, that when I need something I never have to pay for it.

I appreciate the feed back so far guys. And really, I guess it doesn't matter what skills are used really, the main reason I have it set up the way I do is that it follows the lore I've written.
The animalistic rage coming from Power boost and the healing form the meditate IV.
the only thing that will be needed is the Pet Stims for healing the pets.
Unfortunatly I ain't in game for a bit, so have to put this on hold, but again, thanks for the feed back.

Well I love this build. I am doing this with fencer. I haven't decided yet on what I want as my mount and animal friend. I was thinking a cupa, a spat, or a brackaset. Not sure yet though I kinda want to see all of them first. I am a wookie so all of my armor is nature oriented. I want the new stuff with the horns so I might pick a bol so we can have matching horns. I am going to have all of my mounts atleast be wild pets and then the others can be Bio-Engineered. I can't wait till I can start on my long path to master CH and master fencer and tka 4/0/0/4 or in better terms a Beast Knight

Very nice build. I've been thinking about a build like this (upon being told by a blue box that I needed to explore commando, I've trained Novice TK and want to find out more about it) recently. However, I'm going to skew more toward ranger with some tracking boxes, I think, and perhaps take up the survey line of artisan for a more solid financial footing.
