Ok now that Ive gotten you attention.

I think all combat classes should cost a full 250 SP to master. Except for crafters, eintertainers, and docswho should have enough SP left over that they can advance prolly about 1/4th of the way into a combat class.

Get rid of the novice professions and make all the elite professions avaliable right off the bat and redistribute the skills mods so that you wind up with all the same skill mods for your profession that you would normmallyhave.

They way the skill tree is designed now PROMOTES solo play. Right now I can be a MCH/MR/0/0/3/0 Ranger/ Novice Medicso lets see how that works. I can heal my self and my pets, I can do great ranged damage with a rifle, I can track animals, I can control pets. Ok so thats 1 person doing the job of 4 people. If you had one person doing each of those jobs HEY you have a group right their.

Im not saying this should go in live with the state CH is in right now but if the combat revamp does bring everyone back down to our level I think this would be a very good thing.

I won't 1 star you but I have to say I strongly disagree.

I like my well rounded character.

And despite the fact that they are useless due to buffs, hopefully the CR will once again make medics useful and diseried in groups. What would happen to them under your plan?

Under my plan medic wouldnt even exist as a profession. You would have docs and CM's. Basically what you would be doing would be taking all the novice skills/skill modsand moving them into the elite classes. For instance TK would have all the Skills/skill mods that you would get from master brawler moved into the TK skill tree but TK would also take 250 SP to master. And BH would have all the novice skills/skill mods from scout and marksman moved into its skill tree. Now you can no longer be a TKM/MR and swap between rifles and VK's and get the master benifits from both classes. You could still do 1/2 TKM and 1/2 MR but you would only shoot rifles half as well as a master rifleman or fight half as well as a master TK.

Also the skill mods would be distributed like the CL is distributed inthe CH skill tree. You would no loger have skill trees likea "defense" tree that you can pick up and get 80% of the defense mods from that class with a minimal SP investment because they would be distributed throughout all the trees.

Other special classes like politican, SL, and ranger would be treated like crafters.

Under this system dabbleing is highly discouraged. And im pretty sure most of the CH's here will agree with me on this point. Dabblers are a big reason we got Nerfed.

To me that sounds like a boring and uniform playstyle. What diferentiates one tk master from the next, absolutely nothing. They would all be cookie cutter clones of eachother.

I could agree with an elite profession taking 250 skill points to master if it was as diverseas say jedi. If all the elite professions had multiple ways you could create unique and diverse templates within them the way you can with jedi then it might be fun.

Good point. So the question is how do you propose we add variety?

I don't know, it would be an involved and drawn out process to revamp each profession to be as diverse as jedi. There would have to be alot of new abilities that players could mix and match to form their own style of character like jedi. You have lightsaber focused jedi, defense focused jedi, healing focused jedi etc. It would be the same concept. There isn't enough content in any of the elite professions now to support such diversity. It is something that would take alot of work and thought to make them that diverse.

The best place to start looking for that content would be with the people that play each respective profession. All those wish lists and ideas posted in all the forums.

Takes the casual forum lurker such as myself all of half a second to click the 1 radio button and move on. Ought not flatter yourself thinking someone is losing sleep just to one star your posts. To prove how easy it is, one star me. Are you gonna lose sleep over it? =D

Joker I think the 1 star bandit is following you lol saw u 1 starred in another thread too lol

I'm not sure about your idea here. I have nov medic so I can heal myself with stim b's not to mention at different points in the past year I have tinkered with other professions while still retaining my master status as mch, granted it may not be considered a combat class but people do mix it up a bit.

I find mixing professions to be one of the better aspects of this game. before the big ch nerf I was half way up pistoleer tree, master scout, some medic, nov be, mch, and it was really fun to mix and match even had musician in there at one point. my friends all thought i was a ninja killin pickets with my finger lol (bio engineer) lol after the ch nerf the hit was too big to my pets and i want with a master combat profession lol

using up all skill points for a combat class would stop some of the melee stackers but I always find myself wishing for more points not less lol it is an interesting idea though

i have no problems with dabblers, I have problems with the fact that MOBs are so easy to kill. The game was fine before they nerfed every critter to heck. CH was just too strong.

I think they need to re empower the creatures in the game and make combat changes that reduce armor and defense stacking. That is about all they need to do. It should take a group of people to hunt rancors.

I'll have to disagree with you.

Example. IRL, I love to hunt. I use a bow when I hunt. I'm pretty good at it too, so that would put me at an elite profession with it, considering I don't use anything else. I also am Red Cross certified for first aid, so I can patch up wounds and perform CPR, in case of an emergency.

My character in game right now is MCH, utilizing Rifleman, and has medic skills. Like in real life, he can perform first aid in a pinch, but is primaraly a hunter.

Your idea, though interesting, is in no way appealing. The point of an MMO is to have a rounded out character to your taste. You take some of colum A, and a pinch from Colum B and toss in some colum C and you got what you want. If you make it to where you are "this" and nothing else, then no way would I want to play.

FYI: MMR/MCH/Ranger 0030 does not leave enough points for novice medic also.

ch being too strong.

that said, they should not have nerfed every animal in teh game. They should have restricted certain ones from us being able to tame, not nerfed the whole environment.

welcome to the party Joker.

I had someone do a search of all my posts and 1 star all 2000+ posts (I kid you not)

Just shows you how the board rateing polices can easily be abused despite what the mods claim.
