I have just picked up Novice Creature Handler, and have succesfully tamed a lesser womp rat baby, a rock beetle baby and a zucca board baby.

In taming and teaching these critters basic commands, i have only got about 800 CH xp.

How do i go about getting more xp??

You have to target a creature and sic your pet on it and have it die. With creatures like that, you should probably stick to really low level creatures and be close on hand with stims to heal them. A good way to do it is target the creature, sic your pet, wait until you see the fight ensue, then blast the sucker.

If you go hunting with some friends, a sneaky way to get exp is wait until the creature is3/4 dead then sic your pet on it. You'll still get the full amount of exp you would have if it killedthe creatureby itself. The higher level the creature the more exp you'll get, but you max at 2000 per for things like krayts and kimos and whatnot.

Hope this helps! Anyone else?

Your comment about sticking to low level critters is fine, but bearing in mind i am only Novice CH 0000, what sort of things can i realistically tame.

I usually frequent Tatooine, would i be able to tame bantha's or dewbacks yet?

if you had a Good BE pet and any kind of Ranged Skills you can go to dantooine and kill Quankers and Hurten tell your BE pet to attack then you blast away at the animal... good xp and credits from missions.... and good harvest..... what i did was when my BE pet was a baby i would go around mos entha on tattoine and kill all the animals while circling the city.... you will level up really fast that way... you should have 1111 in about 1day of killing around the city..... tell your pet to attack then once you see the enemy take the first dammage you blast it with your dlt20a and one hit kill it.... works verry well and you can level riflemen this way really easy..... good hunting

ow and banthas and dewbacks are level 17 and 19 so you will need like 1111 to tame them frequently... which you will get easy when you use stragagie

You can tame cu pa now. With a cupa or rock beetle you have a ranged attack pet so you can have them attack gorgs and other small creatures. Once the pet lands one hit shoot the animal being attacked and when it dies you get creature handling experience for your pet assisting in the kill.

Also tame everything you see that you can tame. My very first tame was right after I left the trainer and was a dwarf nuna. You ever see how small a dwarf nuna baby is, its like a pencil dot on the ground

As you get skill boxes you will get more commands and each taming will gain you more experience. I'm now 2-2-1-2 and get 800 or better exp every tame.
