Hi all,

I know this isn't the trade forum but, I have a bunch of pets to sell ranging from CL 25 to CL 65. I'm not trying to sell them here but I am trying to find out if there is a place I can go to determine what each pet may be worth. I am notorious for quoting people really low prices, then finding out later I could have made double or triple the money.....lol. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I think it would be difficult to underquote their values. Pets tend to be very, very difficult to sell. I wouldn't know the price you could get, but it probably wouldn't be worth it. Good luck, though.

Here's a good general selling strategy that seems to work well for every server, from what I've heard.

1.) First, check the bazaar. Look to see if there are lots of comparable pets on there. If there are, you know you won't get much better than 6k a piece for them. This varies slightly by server, though . . . on Scylla, for example, there are still a good amount of mid-ranged CH's who actually pay more for mid-level pets if they are full grown.

2.) Sit in Coronet with your tag up and a mid-sized, high-level and interesting animal out. If you get a lot of people asking about pets, you know that they're having trouble finding ones that work well for them, and you can start your haggle at 1k per CL.If not, drop it by about 1/4. Don't be surprised if you need to drop it more.

3.) BE's are worth more than naturals in general; a CL 50 BE'd rancor is worth more than a natural rancor since they're generally more powerful. However, if a BE can't make it, then it increases it's value slightly since people like things they don't see everywhere. On Scylla, a natural rancor is worth 30-45k, a BE'd one varies by HAM.

That is the idea I would have gone with....1k per CL. But someone told me that they were usually selling their pets for 2k to 3k per CL. Perhaps that happens under unusual circumstances.

Anyway, I would be happy with 1k per CL. I haven't been a CH for quite a while but I have some high level pets I would like to get rid of.

Depending on the server, high level pets can actually be pretty tough to get rid of, since there's few people who can use them and they generally already have a datapad full of comparable pets. Just today I had someone give me a kimo with 12500 HAM at level 60 with armor and 40% kinetic and some pretty insane PvP-type resists for free because he couldn't find a buyer. He had several and even then I only took the one because I'd never had a kimo before.

I've generally been selling natural or low-end be pets at 1k/level.

I may sell a natural mount for 5-10k, but a BE mount would be at least 10k...maybe more depending on ham/resistances/attacks.

I sold a natural/tamed Gurreck for 50k - seems reasonable, since I bought some BE pets ranging from 54-70 lvl from 60k - 120k.

Granted, I don't sell a lot of animals, mostly when I want to clean my stock to make datapad room.

They are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. You have to find the right buyer for the right pet at the right time.

Example. Before mounts Carrion Spats worthless, and even now not worth much. Mount day you are looking at around >500K.
