That's exactly what im thinking, with the new level cap at 80, I can use a male brackasat, crystal snake, and boar wolf at the same time.....won't that be fun with a small amount of extra damage

im not too sure about that
I read a post a dev had saying just small creatures outside 2 cities were balanced for tc, the rest were not, forget the cities il try and find it tomoorow, I think most creatures right now are out of sync withthe new system, thats partially why xp is so off
don't count on anything there other than character changes, the dev said creatures/mobs need alot of work

It is true that they said creatures need a lot of work, however, it is clear that they are shooting for them to be on the more powerful end rather than the less powerful end. Comments like Helios' about not attacking it if it is purple. They clearly want them to be purple and for people to learn maybe its not such a hot idea to try to kill one of those things. I still haven't tested, but if creatures really are that powerful then I'm happy...

It is true it reminds me alot of the game around launch also
I think one of the big differences is as a nov anything on tc its like being an entertainer and no defenses going out and fighting stuff. you baisically get owned by 95% of whats there.
The purple icons showing what will be the hardest will shift as you go up in skill and strength. starting a new character in todays game is close to this, durni's kick your butt unless your buffed and have a good weapon
best thing to do on TC is do a lil serveying then make a weapon, with no exp pnts I made a rifle thats better than the one given me.
after crafters get going and decent weapons are ingame it wont be as bad

I have actually enjoyed my time on tc to be honest.
The damage as said above is over the top now, but i still see it as a step forward for us regardless.
I also go back to the proff descriptions, which said we could be damage dealers, tanks OR crowd control depending on what pets we use.
That would indicate tamables with area debuff attacks, or pets with high damage / low resists/ham or pets with high ham/low attack damage.
I dont think we will get high defence / high offence from wild or BE. that would keep us balanced to an extent and keep the nerf cries at bay.
Now, currently all higher level wilds and be are pretty much high defence low attack (relative to players), so something will be changing along the way.
As an aside, I have been told that the damage level of some of the frog weapons (t21 875 max damage, VK 300 ish) are a bug and not how they will be when we get to use them.

Btw, the colored indicator of an enemies strength is the same process used in CoH. It is also nothing but a visual representation of the same information you recieved by examining a target before CU.

I've had an interesting thought in mind ever since the CU changes were announced. Follow me here:
Post CU, red-con content (devs have specifically listed rancors) are going to be non-soloable.
+
Unless rancors get a >50% CL increase, they will be under the CL80 cap, and presumably tamable.
=
CH for teh win!!1!!!!1!
I'm sure that it will be a little more complicated than that, but the potential for becoming a FotM or being nerfed seems to be a fairly strong possibility to me.

That is a MAJOR possibility of Rancors being the viscious beasts they are supposed to be. The question then comes up: What happens with the ones in our datapads?
Do they get released, so we have to find them again? least likely
Do they get downgraded in power due to us having another combat class? most likely
Do they get a HUGE upgrade in CR? middle ground likely
I cannot envision the dev's giving us that much power at our fingertips. If anything, I seethe tamed version as a weaker wild version.

It would seem that we are forgetting to look at the bigger picture.
Creature level and dmg out put are not the only factors in which we will base the value of a creature. Rember that there are only 2 types of dmg now. So your creature will do one of those types and have a restiance to one or a little to both.
So, the effectiveness of the creature will depend on the armor your enemy is wearing, the dmg type your enemy is doing, the terrane, the group size / number of the enemy creatures or players, buffs and debuffs being used by the enemy target, ranged or melee ablitys of the enemy, Not to mention if the dmg reduction in PvP stays.
There are so many factors that go way beyond the amount of dmg your creature can do. I imagine that some creature handlers will carry pets in thier DP that have ablitys that they like rather then dmg out put, and vise versa.

Why do you think they would make a half-(bottom)ed attempt at a "new" creature like a Pygmy Rancor?
