Now what the hell do I do?

Go to Mos Eisley

Tell the cu pa to attack the lesser desert womp rats, worrts, rills, and other yard trash around the outskirts.

Start collecting CH XP.

After you've done that, go out and find a cu pa (baby) and tame it!

The grind begins!

Actually, I almost got a cupa baby. Then a womprat killed it.

But, ah, what should I go up first? I'm thinking the group command, followed by trick, then finally stay and tame.

Well, Training I will get you more datapad space. You'll quickly find out why this is desirable. There are so many babies out there who WANT to be on your datapad. You'll hear them calling to you. I do all the time; it never, ever stops. "Tazz, you know you that screaming kai tok is trash! You know the rancor is a wuss at heart! I need to be with you on your datapad!" This is a crazed durni (baby) saying this, by the way!

Management I gets you the group command, and that's very helpful.

Empathy I gets you trickone, and that's important for healing mind without using a pet stim.

In other words, there really is no best first box because they're all valuable.

Anyone else hear the devs laughing at us?

I can't make the call for you, Ryyger; I can only point out what you'll gain.

I'd go for Traning I with the additional datapad space first.

Then Empathy I and trick one

Then Management I and the group command (mainly because nowadays a pet grouped with you and only you eats 40% of your critter harvest...use them ungrouped and this does not happen).

Then Taming I.

Well, having mastered CH before the great CH screw patch, and then dropping it, only to decide i want it back, I can tell you one of the quickest ways(not some uber fast grind, but still very quick in its own right):

I had a Kaadu female left in my datapad from when i was CH before, so I decided it was worth it to use until i could find something better...

After training in Novice CH (again) this morning, I decided to trot off to Endor(because I've been working on leveling my TK there lately, so it's just where i feel comfortable soloing right now...

I took my adult Kaadu female in search of anything that conned yellow or red for me(borgle life sappers, blurrgs, webmasters, et al), and just started in on them...I attack first, then pull my pet in near the end...she only really got damaged once today(a borgle life sapper poisoned or diseased her, can't remember which)...I average between 400-800 XP per kill, most kills don't take more than a handful of hits per, and my Kaadu never seems to need any healing, since I pull her in at the end...

I went from Novice CH to 4-3-0-0 today, plan on getting up to 4-4-4-0 by tomorrow, and finish off the rest over the weekend...It's not one of those wonderously speedy grinds that some people talk about, but I'm not really in any rush for the XP(it would just be nice to have some of those big pets I miss having around), and I'm not big on group hunting for XP...I tend to prefer Soloing when i'm leveling a skill, and Endor just seems about perfect for this...Lok would be just as good, if i could ever find something to kill there...

I hope some of this was helpful to you...Good luck Mastering CH...it really is worth it when ya get there

Nice grind tip Fisra.

Just go for 1/1/1/1 whatever order doing the yard trash grind around Mos Eisley, (my area was Mos Entha), or like Fisra said, assuming you have some high combat skills elsewhere to do what he suggests. Try to get Creature Management III Pack Management so you can the pull another pet out with you and almost, but not quite double your CH xp. Remember they only need to get a hit in to get max xp so watch your combat monitor. It's also good to use babies to grind to maximize your CH skill.

Well I added two womp rats and a lesser dewback to my previously non-existant list of tames, but I find my cu pa mount can handle stuff pretty well at my level (0/4/0/0 brawler -- I'm not exactly a heavy combatant) but I get more XP by sicing my womprat baby on yard trash and ending it with a cho mai.

Then again, it's more fun to do faction missions and watch my cu pa maul people. I don't want to know how but it has a lovely stun attack it uses regularly.

I was at 2111 Earler today, and went tot he Geonosis lab, And started just sending in my pet, I get 1.1k each time, and when there are a lot of ppl there it makes it easy, i was at 2111, nowI am at 2333 after about 6 hours. I dont know if its the best way to grind, but its fun, andif oyu needpistol xp or something, its a good place.
