Can somebody tell what is the tacktic to tame CL40+ pets. Is that only possible with a group or also as a solo player. When I try with a maskscent I detected before I am even close.

Firstly make sure you boost your maskscent as much as possible, I use BE clothes (+25 mask) and Jawa beer (+13) , then walk or crawl towards your target. If they noticed you just stay still until you can reapply your mask, an move a little closer.

Some people say it helps to put your gun away.. can't say I've really noticed the difference. Hope this helps.

on any lvl critters, i have found that walking to them, rather than running helps... maybe im just lucky, i dunno.. but it makes a diffrence for me

sometimes it is strange, I can walk to a baby in the middle of a red crowd and tame the baby right under the mommy. But others time I get detected 100m away, I got 25 maskscent BE clothing also.

This happens to me quite often as well, they break my mask scent, but as long as I'm careful I can often tame the baby away from them. Did this with a Hanadak (?) on Endor the other day. I've got a lovely pet Monkey now.

Heh, I speed up to them, hop off, tame, hop on again (I have a macro for that). That is of course if I don't get detected at 65m. The only reason for uneqiping your weapon is that you don't auto-fire on them if they aggro you (of course sitting on a vehicle will also prevent this)

Yeah I suppose that can work too, and it'll give you plenty of opportunity to escape something going aggro on you. Must admit I often train things that I come across this way. Normally low lvl critters that I'm purely taming and releasing.

Just ride up on a speederbike or swoop. Much easier and escape is a cinch. If you are detected (often), just stop and look for a red turning on you and approaching. If they are approaching, move forward and perpendicular away from them FOR A SHORT DISTANCE. Stalkers will sometimes turn and track you, while most others will leave you alone as long as you don't move. (Stalkers will often also wait until they are close to you before they aggro.)

After you time out, dismount and remask, then continue forward. If you get an aggro, move out and run until it breaks, then return and repeat.

OR, become a TKM and just kill whatever gets in your way (watch out you don't kill the baby).

Neat thing is, once you are in among them and reset your mask, you're set. They won't break it again as the check has already been done.

OH, and definately get the mask scent bio-clothes. I use +25. Interesting thing is, I find my mask is often broke among the low level aggro creatures on Correllia as much as among the monsters on Dathomir. Mask scent and detection are kind of mystical rather than science for me.

I rarely have problems getting to the baby to tame but I don't ride right up to them. I usually ride up to about 70m away or so and then mask scent, disarm, and walk up to the baby. If you are detected stop and wait for the timer to go away and mask scent again because most of the time they don't attack immediately. Ihave been right beside agroup of Mereks when they detected me but none attacked and I was able to mask scent again and continue to tame the baby. The walking part is a **edit** butI rarely ever getdetected.

I guess my BE-mask scent clothes wheren't a wast of money then. It's a shame I can't combine them with the BE-creature clothes I bought. But I found a sollution for that issue too, Creature taming food. And alot of patience....
