I'm just coming back to SWG after a long absence, and I noticed something that seemed strange to me. After reading through a few posts on the subject, I see conflicting information. Here goes:

Last night I was running savage quenker missions. I initially pulled out a CL 11 Cu Pa because it was my lowest pet. I waited until I had almost killed the quenker before sending in the pet. Even then, with an 1100 HAM, I was having to heal the pet regularly. Each kill gave around 328 CH exp.

On a whim, I pulled out a 17 CL cat (I forget which - came from Talus I think) The cat,6 CL's higher than the Cu Pa gave 400 exp per kill. I switched back and forth to see if this continued, and sure enough, it did.

My understanding was that the spread between pet and target levels determined the exp per kill. Can anyone think of a reason I would have been getting more exp with the higher level pet?
