Thread: Where and How to train xp for pets
If all you're looking for is training xp, you can speed things up by having your pets get in a hit or two, then attacking the mob yourself. This will speed up the kill, and from what I've seen the pet gets the same amount of training xp whether it did one hit or all of them.
For CL 10-20 critters, I think I found Tatooine to be a good source of mobs. Banthas and dewbacks tend to show up in pretty good-sized herds. You can also take missions and have your pets help with that, just don't forget to group with them so they get the benefit of your CL. You're not killing each creature as fast with this method, but it's an easy way to find something to kill.
Hi m8, I normally hunt with my pets in a guild hunt group.... we normally have at least 1 guild group running every day often running most of the day with different people dropping in and out. I find this is increadably quick in levelling up even the highest level pets and is good to have a laugh in a group after spending hours on your own searching the undergrowth for baby's to tame.
I guess not all guilds will run there own hunt group on a regular basis and not all groups like a load of pets running around the lair.... but for me it is the fastest and most fun way of levelling a pet and all the people i hunt with dont mind CH's and there pets joining in.

And when you solo get a combat robot (probots seem best) and have him assist you in killing the MOB. I usually start with the probot to establish aggro then send in the pet to be trained then jump it after the pet gets 1 hit.
