Creature Handler Archive

I don't want to alert any dev to this I am just confused. I also noticed on swgcreatures that others have tamed this critter as recent at 30 aug 05. Anyway I was on Yavin IV and ran across a skreed warrior elite CL62. As would be guessed it had imperiel feint L2 as a special. This is what I don't get; I know under the old system there was something elite about the creature and it would be the same level. So do they keep elites as a game title to the creature now and just up the CL one level? Is there anything special about the elites now? Is this a coding error as far as the name goes or ARE there elites only by name but not by powers? I am so confused and I am sure now you are too.

"Skreeg Warrior Elite" is an actual creature name. So-called "elite" pets or NPCs were marked by a conn circle that had a notch in it to denote unusual qualities for that level of creature in the post-Combat Upgrade environment -- generally significantly higher Health than was usual for a creature of that level. Examples of an "elite" were the Female Narglatches (which had around 7000 Health, while other level-22 creatures had around 3800 Health) or the various Nightsisters, elite level-80ish NPCs.

"Elite" in the name of the creature is meaningless. The Elite's of the past were identified by their statistics and not thier names. They are still in the game, but you can not tame them. For isntance most Nightsisters are Elite npcs.

Another way to spot elite creatures is the < > on both ends of the creature name. Ex. <>

At least thats what I was lead to believe.
