I don't know anything about using commands such as /petBleedAttack, etc.
I DO see, however, when I go to train a crystal snake thatI tamed that has Bleeding Attack L2 on it, that I get an option totrain a command for Bleeding Attack. So I set that command to "bleed" and now when I /tellpet bleed, the snake triggers that bleed attack and I see the bleed attack state on the enemy it's attacking.
Train your pet a special command for that attack and try it that way perhaps?
Pet attack and command organization needs some planning before you train a pet. Here is my thema:
I use /tellpet commands because it isn't distracting in spatial during a hunt. And it makes my pets seem to act with a will of their own. I am just the nut standing there with a T21 rifle the pets run back to after a fight.
All pets get trained the same generic attack command and a macro is made of it and placed on the toolbar.
I use /tellpet as; name of macro is petAttack and I picked an icon.
Special attack 1 and Special attack 2 get their own macros as well.
I use /tellpet l1 for special attack 1 and I use /tellpet l2 for special attack 2. (clarify I am using lower case L) t1 and t2 are my pet trick macro commands. I made a macro for each pet command, helps training a new tames go faster and keeps uniformity. The naming commands have no macro, those are the least used, get patrol point, clear patrol points, patrol and transfer. See thread "What I hate..." to see my pet naming themes.
Range toggle on/off is a macro with the single command /tellpet az;
Now the application of the three attack commands is flexible. Generic damage attacks all pets react to is the basic attack command. When I train twin or triplets in a "combat pet set" I will alternate which of the special attacks get assigned to special 1 and special 2 to prevent overlap. So striking a single function key on the toolbar for special attack 1, it is feasible 2 or 3 pets will try to lay on the target different combat "states" all assigned to special attack 1. If you prefer, the other approach where each pet is trained the same special attack helps guarantee that state is applied in the same attack.
For Creature Handlers demanding higher resolution to their command structure, who do not want all pets to respond to the same command, they have to create individual commands for each pet. I am not that complicated. Though I can appreciate a delicate situation where one pet attacking is more desirable than all pets attacking when using a single key stroke.
My toolbar for general combat has my alternate profession attack commands, 3 pet attacks, 2 pet embolden and frenzy commands, pet stim slot, my stim D slot, Pet Follow Me slot, Pet Group, Swoop, etc. Lastly a macro for storing the pets. I use the datapad to call the pet, since I have PLENTY OF TIME based on the pet call timer stigma.
Addendum to above thema, Training the pet the special attacks.
1. Target pet ready to be tamed.
2. Type /train and window opens.
3. Select a Triggered attack to be trained the pet can spend training slot and training points for.
4. Select train pet button. Message says you successfully train the pet that skill.
5. Use mouse pointer to select pet again, and use radial dial to select train menu. Window opens showing trainable pet skills.
6. Select pet special attack and hit train button. You just got your pet's attention for the training lesson.
7. Pet issues a question mark. You have two options, either use one of the command macro buttons with a /tellpet command OR just type the command in spatial chat. Pet issues forth a white exclamation mark signifying it understood.
Using my method above, you can strategize whether the special uses any of the attack macros. You can always re-train the pet to accept a new command if you find an overlap in a multiple pet squad's command structure. ie two pets using knockdown at the same time....albeit it might guarantee a knockdown takes effect...but you might want to stack another state in addition to knockdown.
Clear as mud?
