mwuhahahaha, I managed to tame a GPS again 
.... after I already tamed one after a long hunt over a year ago, I deleted it during my non MCH time to get a new mount.... now Im back to the CH business and again on the hunt for rare stuff..... had the luck to find a GPS spawn yesterday and tried teh "update" trick to get a baby out of it.... no luck, tho sometimes the spawn created two GPS at once. After yesterdays server reset I manged to find a new spawn just 200m further and tried teh trick a few times with no luck. So I returned this evening and the GPS was still there... I tried update trick and tamed a ton of other creatures in the area, and suddenly I found another GPS spawn, 400m away from the first... also no baby, so I went on to tame random stuff around and freqeuntly returend to the spawns.... and hooray, at one time the yellow dot does not turn into red after a few secs!!!! a baby.... I tamed it in one try and it also comes with frenzied blitz 2, wot I dont have yet
just wanted to let u know..... oh btw, i tamed this pet just 300m from the wp I tamed my first over a year ago

Now that I have my bull rancor and stoneskin, the giant pharple and GPS are next on my list

Amethyst, let us know by post if you get the Giant Pharple please. I for one do not believe they (babies) exist. Or maybe it's just because I have slaughtered so many adults that I've got some sort of smell on me that makes them wary when I'm around!!!!

I will do so Maybe I'll try and make the giant pharple my plan for this weekend (or at least attempt)
I'd assume they have to have babies since they're listed with having Aggression and Knockdown abilities at SWGCreatures.com ... I know the site isn't completely updated since the CU, but I doubt they'd list the giant pharple having those abilities unless someone had tamed a baby to confirm it.
I'll let you know if I ever get one!

I have been hunting the Giant Pharple around the spaceport on LOK the past week on the Corbantis server. There are two lairs that spawn. The average lair is just a Pharple lair. The second lair spawns Runty and Giant Pharples in addition to the normal Pharple.
I have tamed 1 Giant Pharple baby so far and it had Self Sacrifice L2....which I already have. I was hoping for Aggresion L2 or Intimidating Attack L2. I released the baby back into it's natural bit bucket environment and continued working the "mixed" lairs with an observation the Runty Pharple baby's spawn more frequently than the GiantPharple baby.
Other candidates for the Intimidating and Aggression L2 attacks are the Frenzied Graul on Dantooine and the Giant Stintaril on Yavin IV. Giant Stintaril babys will spawn the same way in a mixed lair as seen with the Pharple. Again, I haven't scored yet my desired special baby with the trait. Stintarils are more common than Frenzied Grauls.
I did have one encounter with a Frenzied Graul baby that left me frustrated. I spotted him on the radar (normallyenlarged to 3" x 3"during taming sessions). Idashed towards him with mask scent on, targeted him and got the annoying "You can't tame that" bug. No sooner than I registered this disheartinging messagethe baby de-spawned as if the Server was sending me a message, "you haven't tamed enough yet to deserve this break, pal". I haven't seen one since. I have destroyed and eradicated several Frenzied Graul lairs since in hopes of seeing another baby.
So my method is now, is checking each area on a daily basis hoping for a break. Most of my baby tames resulted from a "surface search" only while marching ina direction towards some Point of Interest. I am begining to mine the lairs of known suspects.

Don't feel like you are the only one who loses the creature baby after you have spotted it and targeted it. I also have spotted a baby, targeted it, hit my function key that has /follow ... and then as I'm running to it and checking to make sure my mask scent is on, etc., stop running and thinking what the heck?? Then noticing there is nothing to follow! I think this is just a "undocumented software feature" (that's short for "bug")!

umm yeah, I miss the pharple still, just saw one baby so far, tried to tame, failed, the damn bird immediatly attacked me, I ran, pharple peaced and ran back, me after it to suddenly see the server deletes it in front of my eyes, f3ck!!! but Ill keep the track...
... oh, the WPs..... will go IG soon, will let u know then

those are the WPs at which I found GPSs yesterday, at one of them I tamed my baby....... the WP where I tamed my baby around one year ago was right in the middle of those both, good luck
