Thread: Dropping Pets in houses.
How is it done? I see them everywhere but have no idea how to go about doing it.
Any help?

Only pets that can be dropped are non-tamed BE creatures.
You need to get the petsfrom Bio-Engineers.
When you get them, they are in your inventory, so just drop them.
However, once you tame it and it goes to your datapad, you won't be able to drop them.

Great, so I have to buy pets I could tame from a Bio just to decorate my house? *sigh*
Sure.. makes sense. otherwise you'd be able to have an unlimited number of pets.

Or they could code it so that pets used for decoration purposes can not be tamed...
I think that would be neigh impossible. You have to tame something in the wild to carry it, at which point it can't be used as furniture. You had mentioned earlier that you didn't like having to buy a pet from a BE when you can tame one yourself. So how would the devs know which pets you tamed were meant as furniture and which weren't? Obstensibly they could create a "perma" retirement option for pets I guess, which would allow this. But I still think the system would be abused and people would grief about wanting their old pets back etc. Would turn into extra storage for pets that was nerfed with the droid fix.

Heh, isn't selling pets supposed to be the purpose of BEs? Wait another month or two and they will be making stuff better than you can find in the wild. They can already make slightly better gurrecks and rancors.
Actually, Iggep that "perma-retirement" is pretty much what I had in mind. I don't really sell pets often...I'm just not a good business-type person. And I hate just destroying pets when I outgrow them. It would be nice if I could just give them a permanent place of honor around the house when I no longer use them.
Sort of like a stuffed trophy. *chuckle*
Why must I settle for a genetically engineered mutant? hehehe
I have heard that the new pet system will be much more free. Basically, you don't start with any certain type of creature, the body is just something you plug into the formula. They have said some creatures will have minimum level limits though. I do really hope they take the pets that aren't very good in the wild and give those to BEs as body types, and not all the ones that are already good in the wild. It would be nice to not see the same old pets all the time.
BTW, they haven't said anything about a max level cap on BE creatures. I want a level 60, spitting, armored, bearded jax. ![]()

Yes, we will be able to make pets that you cannot find in the wild at all, and the word on the street is that we'll be able to more easily make the ones that do have wild counterparts much more effective in all respects than their wild counterparts. I've also heard that there will remain a large selection of critters that be's cannot make, but can only be found in the wild.
i do not believe that we will be able to experiment up the armor, but i'm not sure of this. i am fairly certain though, that we will be able to experiment in special attacks such as diseases without problem. there is also a mention by a dev that we will be able to experiment down the CL, in a special way that he refused to elaborate on.
Time will tell, but as a BE and master CH i'm getting pretty stoked about what could be happening.
