Thread: Don't even think about a STOP GROWTH ability !!
That is just rediculas and I hope this FANTASY aspect is not being considered. It is just absurd. Please tell me how you plan on TELLING your pet to stop growing...
Now, that said, I could possibly believe that you could STUNT the growth of a pet / mount with the use of a CHEMICAL or DRUG, but isn't that a little cruel and unethical? Come on, we are Creature Handlers and not Mad Scientists right....

You can probably get another half inch with bofa treats!
What do you mean, "don't do it"? It's already been done.
I logged in yesterday morning and tried for 30 minutes to get my GCS to saddle up.. no success. Logged back in and tried for another 30 min with no success.. go frustrated and left for an hour, logged back in a tried for another 30 min or so then finally got a message something like, "Your pet will soon be to big to mount, would you like to stop it's growth so you can continue to mount it?". Clicked yes and no more saddling problems.
Might I add, this amounted to more then 4 hours of frustration for me, during which time I was cursing every developer, every SOE employee and seriously considering flying to SOE Corp with my trusty baseball bat and beating some sense into some people.
Of course I medicated myself and I am ok now.
So far, the only mount critter that REQUIRES stunted growth is the giant carrion spat, and apparenly it's only because the fullsized graphic of the giant carrion spat is too big for the saddle graphic on the avian mount model.

The Bio Engineer should be the only one to have such an ability.
The stop growth ability isnt too useful from a pure combat aspect of things. But, from the aesthetic side and strategy area, it does have alot of uses.
I happen to thing graul maulers have a really cool graphic set. i would luv to be able to have three grual babies out. And from the combat aspect. When /usespecial and /userange comes into play, severalhigh level creatures have some really neat special attacks. If I could stunt thier growths, that would lead to alot more attack combos that would be possible
