This is a first-time post in this area of the forums since I'm a ranger and usually keep myself to that profession's forums. However, I also tend to do the organisation of events for my guild and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of running a pet show.

I am kind of thinking SWG Crufts (UK based dog show) with competitors paying an entrance fee and then being judged in different categories of species - best Cu Pa, best Rancor - or perhaps by function - best Tank etc... with the winners then going forward to a best in show to find the overall winner.

Has anyone ever attempted such a thing? Anything I can learn from your experience. I know a handful of CH in game so will be talking to them but thought I'd throw the idea out as well and see what people thought.

Interesting idea, although you would have to split natural pets and BEd pets. There can be a huge difference in the two at different CLs.

problem is, all natural pets have the same stats..so what would be the criteria to judge them?

Pitty we can't alter our pets appearence.

If we could do it or if we could get someone else to do it then the idea of a Crufts style event would be even better.

if and when we get pet armor and decorative saddles, those could be used in the show to make ur pet look more fearsome

I'm still just throwing this around but I would guess that:

Master Ranger might be needed to judge since they can see all the pet's stats

BE and non-BE pets might need to be separated since obviously non-BE pets have all the same basic stats...

which then begs the question of how you judge the non-BE. I don't know but could it be a simple fight-off?

First... as MRanger/(almost)MCH, I wonder wether to participate or judge or both

As an MCH I like the idea. However I think only BE pets can be *showed*, cause as put, tamed ones have nearly all the same stats. Having them fight against eachother is quiet pointless, and ... imho not pet-friendly

As MRanger, I do like to examine BE-pets based on stats purely. We could have categories like best damage, strange combo's (a1+a2), best overall pet, best tank and so on... Even can make it those a sub under PVE/PVP cause different stats are important...
