I don't know how I've missed this one...but I saw my first Graul over the weekend. Saw a Graul Mauler in a Corellia starport for most of Saturday. Man, what a great looking creature!!!! The highest lvl I can currently tame is a Graul Mauler, but I went out and tamed 3 (all from one lair...can't be too rare, huh?). I can't wait until I can get some higher level ones!

Grauls are pretty common... I actually deleted about half a dozen out of my datapad that I had tamed and never trained; when you get into higher end PvE Grauls kite.

I used to really dig the Mereks I used to tame until I mastered Bio-Engineer... now I really enjoy sampling and crafting pets. When you can make your own pet and use it in a battle it is a whole new dimension of the love of CH.... I really hope that the Devs fix CH and make it viable again.

Ugh, Graul maulers. I hate them. Then again, I remember "Pet Wars", when literally half the game was MCH's and ALL of them hung out at the starport with twin graul maulers just standing there. I used to have a friend that went hunting with 2 Graul maulers, 3 ATST's, and Teras Kasi. Watching her roll into town was like watching a fair.

Picture this. You load in Theed starport. The first thing you see is 6 Graul maulers. You turn to the right. 4 more, and a couple rancors. You turn to the left.3 Grauls and 2 more rancors. Scattered through all this are gaping spider hunters, Merek Battle lords, and enough MCH/Commando's to choke a Krayt. Ah, Pet wars.

If you want a really nice CL 35 pet, get a merek. (Bloodstained Merek I believe) A pain to tame, but you can get missions for them, and they are just plain great pets, plus they dont fill up 3/4 your screen.

I dont mean to flame your favorite pet, but everyone seems to think the graul is the end all-be all of pets, and its just not. It's a big intimidating looking thing, yes. But its stats arent as nice as a Merek, its not as fast, and the merek has poison I believe, instead of KD, which dosent work on most critters. If you want a big scary pet, go with the graul. If you want a small scary, and GOOD pet, get a merek. Worth the effort.
