Restructure CH too allow a better mix of skills. It cost less skill points to be a Master Swordsman then a MCH. Come on SOE...give me a reason to keep this class!

It's only one extra tree, if you think about it. Plus the things you can do as a Creature Handler within itself that no other classes can outweighs the few extra skill points.

Could we wait until after the CU to start asking for pre-req changes? We might be on-par with the combat classes when it comes to combat ability versus skillpoints invested.

I am not knocking MCH, but you spend all those skill points to get no defences except for your pets tanking. I was just stating that the skill set up should be a little more flexible.

22k of light armoured 60% kinetc resisted ham is a lot of defenses if you ask me.

PvP it isnt, in fact, its no use at all, but if we accept our current limitations, which really for the most part restrict us to PvE, then defense is the one thing we do get from CH.
I know as a master rifleman/other combat profession, I couldnt kill a full spawn of blacksun unarmoured and unbuffed and never take a hit,
I can as a master Rifleman/master CH.

We have bugs, and issues, that is for definate.reducing prerequisites would give devs an excuse for us to stay this way .

Thats not what i want at all.

22k HAM, what pet are you using? And major props to killing black sun spawns unarmored and unbuffed, something i couldn't do as TKM lol.

and this "cool cat" has 22K HAM...has light armor and 60% ken resist? 22000? anout TWICE the Ham of a BE Lvl67 Kimo? Are we reading that right? or is he refering to 2 11K ham cats that are lvl35...and how would 2 lvl35 pets have 11K HAM Light armor and 60% ken resists....

Not a 22k ham pet, 2 11k ham pets , with light armour and 60% kintic for PvE, both level 35.

thats 22k ham.

And they are 11k and lower level because they are vulnerable to more or less everything esle, and have low damage.
They were designed to tank for me in PvE, I dont need help in damage, as a rifleman, I need protection from mobs.
they do that very very well.

Ive been master Ch for over a year, took me a while to get exactly what I want, but for combat as it is now they work perfectly.

It all depends what you are doing reaaly, and what your other proffs are.
I also have a 33/37 gurrek pair that are about 10k ham each, biased towards energy resists, they are perfect for running faction missions against stormtroopers.

The pet commandobob mentions above called Laurel is a level 68 BE gurrek, 60 kin/energy resists, various others above 90, 13k ham. Vulnerable to stun/LS, she has stun/dizzy attacks, and has been to the bottom of the dwb, we used her as aggro management, with ocasional healing she was able to tank 3 sbd in there whilst we killed the fourth, then one taunted off her whilst we killed it etc, very useful.

Sadly with PvE combat as it is now, the 2 level 35 60% kin pets are in fact much more useful in normal PvE, because they effectivly have the same resists as the high level pet in most PvE situations, but obviously last twice as lomg in combat as there are 2.

That is the thing I hope changes in the CU for us, if they vary the damage types in PvE, the single high level pet will be the better choice, as it should be.

Somehow I feel to compell here. I do not entirely agree with you statement. I think using 2 or 3 more lower level pets can/shoud do more and last longer than 1 huge one.

Reasons:

* the sum is more than the parts

* if you're aggroed by 2 or more mobs you will notice you can do less attacks as your attacks are interrupted, so similar if 2, 3 pets are going against 1 that poor victim should go down way faster then using one big pet

* larger creatures tend (note the *tend* here) to be slower in everything: walking, as and so on... Hence 2, 3 more smaller ones would do more damage faster. Consider destroying a kreetle lair and get surrounded by swamr beetles (happened to me, quiet fun at first, but then annoying cause they attack so fast you are unable to get them off) And in the meanwhile my H wasd dropping quickly.

* when being attacked by more creatures, which one are you going to attack? It's the same as surrounding a npc and shooting from 2 or more different angles... When hit it will turn to the one that hit him... Keep it up and it will never attack.

So my conclusion: more pets should be way more be feared than 1 single rancoer/kimo/graul whatever...

I prefer 3 l20 cats/anglers/whatever to 1 l67graul
