I've had 3 so far and each one was a coward. The one I currently have is LVL51 AR1 10k to 11k ham 50%+ kinetic/energy and 90% on jus about everything else. It's not a bad pet stat-wise which makes me think it was put together by someone that knew what they were doing. It just runs away tho. Are they bugged? It's not a big deal really since I only use him for showing off once in a while but I'm just a lil' curious. THX

Mine is a level 63 and it is still fairly cowardly. Not as bad as if it had a ranged attack though.

I think this has more to do with SOEs wonderful "optimal range" concept and the fact that the models are so large.

Mine's not so much a coward... just a little... standoff-ish.

I use one of the smaller cat skins usually, and I notice that whenever I attack a rebel medic they invariably run away from me. I'm pretty sure it's the blaster wielding NPC trying to kite my pet though.

they are (purposely I suspect) the crappiest pet in the game. Used to have 3 that i bio-engineered, all 3 sucked miserably. Another sick twisted joke brought to youby our fine friends at SOE. Oh, the 3 awesome kimos of mine? deleted.

My Kimogila is fairly aggressive.

i'm sure that his knockdown attack is a trample attack, he tends to run the target over.

i've only seen him flee once.

i'm sure that LC doesn't have anything to do with the fleeing, i'm sure that it is related to the original Dependability, Courage and/or Fierceness of the DNA samples used

Ok, well it looks like I don't have the only fubared Kimo. Mine does the glide thing too.

Last night I went after a Albatross and sent the kimo in, it didn't run from the the alba.It runs from anything else I send it at regardless of level but the Uber birdy it feels ok attacking. Jus' seemed kinda funny to me. FYI a master pistoleer / master ch can not, repeat can not solo an albatross. LOL. Maybe if ya have about 10 super bio pets. I got the thing down to around 60k hit pts but it took me4 of my tanks to get there and 2 clones.

I've also noticed, mabye its just me, that Kimogilas just glide across the land over a short amount of time instead of walking, or running. They glide likes its ice. I also noticed that they are very "cowardly" and tend to run. When I started playing, I thought the bigger the better, I saw a Kimogila run from a Voritor Lizard, so that flushed my theory down the toilet.

Pets will still run if they get smacked around with specials. Fortunately it's not as bad as it used to be. However, large models still have issues trying to find that optimal range. I can't tell you the number of times I've watched a pet constantly spin around trying to adjust to the proper fighting distance. My kimo does fairly well as long as I can park him in the middle of a crowd before I have him attack.

Once the battle starts, though, I have to lean on my /tellpet attack macro to keep him from trying to turn around, run just far enough away and then turn back to attack. Especially if he's attacking anything with a small model that gets right up under his feet.

This chasing problem has been around since the first day of release.

The irony is that time and time again I've seen devs post and say, "We can't recreate the problem".

And yet, hundreds of players successfully recreate the problem every single time they play.
