I just became 4/4/3/3 CH today, and tried to tame a rancor. I actually lost count of how many times I tired, but it was like 75. After it stopped fighing me, a giant biz natch liar suddenly appeared, and they started to attack me. The baby rancor dissapeared after that. I'm a little bitter. I know that it should hard for me to tame a lvl 50 pet, especially when that's the highest level I can get, but 70+ tries? Don't mean to whine, but is this normal? What's the most attempts ya'll have ever tried on one pet?

I think mine was...52 or 53

It took me well over an hour (ca.40 attempts, with a dozen aggro's) to tame my second rancor.

Rancor only took a few tries for me at master. Trying to tame a giant crystal snake at lower levels took me well over half an hour.

My longest tame took at least 1hour and 15 minutes, a Rancor (baby). All while my friends and I were hunting Rancors and they were dieing while i spent an hour taming it . I then a few minutes later, I found a Gaping Spider Hunter and tamed it in 5 minutes? I guess it has to be random on how long it takes to tame.

I guess I no longer feel bad about the 30 minutes and about 20 tries it took to tame that giant
crystal snake. 70+ times feels a bit excessive. I mean by that it should know your life history
and the tranquilizer should have kicked in

Yeah, the giant crystal snake was the worst taming experience I have had.... I stopped counting at 31 tries, then a bit later my MCH hubby did it in one shot for me since we were trying to get out of the house. LOL

Most tries? 8 times for an arachne webmaster. 2 aggros with it... Dont worry, rancors are easy to find. The babies are somewhat rarer but over the course of 3 days I have 8 rancor babies taking up room so I just destroyed them as no body wanted them.
