Thread: Bio-Pet Mounts NOT Following...anyone else having this problem?
This bug seems to me to have been introduced in Publish 6. I have /bugged it many times. Try using /TELLPET. It is not the BEST solution, but you can at least get you pet to follow you. If you use macros in your hotbar to talk to your pet, add a /tellpet to all of them. Makes life with pets that much easier. And you get the bonus that /TELLPET has been range than /SHOUT.
I think the bigger, moreannoying bug is the mount HAM bars not updating when you heal them. Or the bug where if yourmount is incapped you have to store them before you can get them back on their feet. I have tried to heal mine and the HAMs don't update and he lies there like a dead Dewey. ![]()
On a side note, I have a Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader that does the same thing, sort of. He will get 'stuck' behind certain planetary plants/rocks that none of my other pets will. I've lost him plenty of times in PvE hunts and not even noticed it until he was out of range (and I'm being agroed by 3 ravenous tortons).
Bio-engineers have been discussing this for quite some time now. We've come to the conclussion that the code used to ride vehicles has been used to control mounts. When you dismount a vehicle it doesn't follow you. It wouldn't surprise me to find out they wrote a code for "riding" instead of a code for vehicles and a code for mounts. That would explain why the problem effects only mounts.
A cu pa will follow commands just fine until you train it mount. I'm not sure why its so easy for us to figure these things out but it takes forever for them to be fixed. Its probably because all three devs are working on space expansion.
