Thread: MCH/swordsman
I have found i rarely call my pets since mastering swordsman.
The fact is I have no longer any need for them, as I tank better then them and deal out an amazing amount of damage.
The only time I could use a pet is against the really big Mobs, but then my pets wouldn't survive.
At the moment they are mostly used to get me better missions, and the odd time i want to tie up multiple Mobs.

This is pretty much the same situation I'm in as well. I love Swordswoman, I love creature handling. As Stainless said, though, using pets actually slows me down more often than not. I've primarily kept MCH because I worked so hard for it (none of that Geo cave or enraged rancorjunk for me)and I enjoy the taming process, not because of any game advantage it provides me.
I've considered trading in Swordswoman to follow up with either Fencer or Teras Kasi, simply because pets could be used more effectively as "bleeds" for their damage types (health and random pools, respectively). Ultimately, though, I'm in love with the power hammer. There's just something satisfying about being a teensy-tiny Zabrak woman smacking things around with a giant jackhammer from atop her grey mountain dewback.
I really do think Teras Kasi would be the best match for Creature Handler in terms of efficiency, though(for melee, anyway). You'd still be the tank, but you could use two pets built for high damage instead of high HAM as bleeds, taunting to keep the mob's attention. With the random pool hits, you'd synchronize damage with your pets very well. If they were hitting different pools than you were at any time, you could also use targetted shots as well.
All of this may change when, or if, the combat rebalance comes along, however. I don't think even the developers have any clue what they're going to change, really. Buffs, armor, it could all be radically revamped in several months. The important thing to know right now is that if you enjoy Swordsman, you can still do quite well with it. If you think pets are going to increase your power, though, you might be in fora rude awakening. As a Swordsman, you're already near the top of the PvE food chain; waiting 15 seconds to call a pet, even longer to store one after a fight, is time you simply don't need to spend unless you really just like the idea of pets. As it happens, I really do. ![]()

I love it!
I'm usually at a distance, I'll do an attack command, send the pet out, then call it back. The prey comes to me, then, I hack it to death...Its great!
Get some really great xp this way.
