Thread: My pets are getting mowed down in no time now.

Not a complaint, but noticed that now NPC's got their specials back, they suck all the HAM out of my pets pretty quickly (even high lvl 50 pets with light armor)
Better them than me I guess, but need to rotate through the pets a lot more often.

same here those mokks trash my best pet combos. my poor lanturn bird is having nightmares....my empathy skills tell me its something about bleeding, which never stops, and ticks for 50000000 damage......and i dont think my graul will ever recover from that bop to the head.

Because Pets are pretty much nothing more then trophies?

You got that right, Pets are nothing but trophies to show off. Really, its the only reason why I took up creature handling, to tame the creatures that I thought were cool and capture them and put them in a cage and bring them out when I want to see them.
Other than that what else is there to do with the creatures? They sure as heck cannot fight....

I have noticed that too, about the npc's tearing my pets apart with KD, and Bleeding especially. My lv50 Rancors seem to do pretty well out there, but my Dual Graul Maulers are almost unusable, because of the specials. I have gone thru more petstims since 9.25 than I did beforehand I think (only been MCH for a little while). Which dont even get me started on all the empty BE vendors out there......

Yea I have also noticed my pets are getting mowed down even by lower lvl stuff out there. I am not sure why I thought it would be a good profession and help me tank things to help me snipe but I was wrong apparantly.

NPC's have always mowed down CH pets no matter the stats. But now with NPC's using specials and changing weapons again, they will get mowed down even faster.

Are you helping your pet kill the creature? I have a tusk cat (3900HAM, Level 18) and It can take down 3 Malklocs with my help before I need to heal him. Usually, I sit there and just throw traps at the mob as my cat hits it.

They are talking about NPC mobs not creature mobs.
