Creature Handler Archive

Since im into Roleplaying, and PvE, and ive never PvP'ed, since laucher, i havent PvP'ed once that was meant to be on purpose.

Im really looking into Creature Handlers, and wondering what would be a Profession to accompany them.

Be it Combat or Crafting or Healing or Leading.

I really do want a pet and get MCH, so what other profession would you suggest?

Most things will work with CH, it depends on your playstyle and other professions. TKM is good because of the meditate tree and /powerboost can help you tank for your pets. 2 possible templates to consider might be Scout, Ranger 0040 (for tracking those rares) CH and either ranged (Rangers get a to-hit bonus with ranged weapons) or TKM for the healing abilities offered (since this 'plate doesn't leave room for medic).

Of course, you don't have to go down the Ranger road which frees up some sp for other things (but finding that bull rancor or GPS will be a whole lot harder without /areatrack). I think it basically comes down to whether you want your pets to tank for you (ranged) or you want to tank for your pets (melee). As has already been said, BH makes an excellent rp and pve class.

For non-combat types, BE is the obvious partner so you can make and train all your own pets.

I think the best advice would be to try different templates and find one you like.

I don't need to hate people on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, nationality, or any of those other things. 30 seconds of conversation usually does the trick.

I used to be a 0/0/3/4 BH and a Master CH. I kept Master CH and tried a few other professions to go with it but was never really satisfied. Now that they have changed the requirements for BH, you can now become a Master BH and a Master CH. With BH you get 3 types of weapons to choose from and you get damage mitigation. In PvE, this is an awesome combination allowing you to be able to tank almost any NPC or creature and dish out decent amounts of damage. You can make decent cash running high level BH missions and it will be easier to do with a good pet. My Arachne Widow goes everywhere with me. In PvP, this isn't very ideal, but you can still hold your own.

The drawback to it is you will have to drop Master Scout if you have it and loose 2 trees in scout in order to have the skill points necessary to Master both of these professions. Without Master Scout, you will no longer be able to see creature levels. This isn't a major drawback since you can just look it up on stratics. Master Scout is still very handy in itself, but I feel that it is a fair trade off for the extra damage you'll be able to dish out and the damage mitigation recieved from BH.

As it helps to be able to heal yor pets, i find it useful to have a melee weapon Mastered.

Ad good pet stims and your dearies will last longer.

My Template is Master Ch, Master Sword, Nov Medic, Nov Rifle, Prerequisites: Brawler/2h:4

Marksman: Rifle4, Support 1, Scout:Exploration4 andHunting4.

The Character is at present a Creature Consultant/Trainer/Hunter/Explorer, and i RP a lot,

even then good to go vs most Hilevel stuff.

Some disclaimers first. I play unbuffed and unarmored (except brandy).

I am master rifle, 4-3-3-4 (will master) CH and medic 4-0-4-0

This template isa ton of fun and you may be suprised how well you can kill. The higher level pets can tank entire wild rancor lairs (probably much more but I am just starting to use my best pets) and master rifle can more than make up for the not so hot damage of the pets. One argument against the rifle is the lack of states you can apply, to that end, you can have 2 different-very capable critters out applying states for you.

Dizzy the group then send your cats around using crippling strike on a base full of stormies. Pretty fun

Truly though, this is a fun template that when buffed feels like cheating (I know ...it all feels like cheating when buffed). I am actually considering going the MBH MCH route for a change and a challenge soon.

By the way. With those medic levels you can heal yourself for around 1k with stim B's and your pets for 2k with stim D's.

i am a master ch/rifleman with 4340 in medic...with rifles u can do cold,heat,stun,energy,and acid...with that said,u can do a wide variety of damage...with state effects....stun,dizzy with what some pets can land u can have so many state effects it looks like a cm/fencer hit'em!!!

this is where medic comes into play...pharm 4 gets u lvl 40 med use that = stim d's for u and your pets

master fencer-4030 doc- 0040 pistoleer...uhhhh its an ok template till i get master droid engineer/architect..

im currently 4-1-1-4 (and leveling up too fast for my pets to grow up fully before theyre outdated ) and TKM,going to be master CH soon enough,and i may compliment with some ranger for tracking the babies,the advantage of TKM is if you need to pull a pet out have it follow a friend and you can tank and make sure the thing doesnt follow your pet

I have two plains hunters that I have had since for almost a year now. I never pull them out in combat because they're extinct, but I'll pull them out in town sometimes to show off to other CH's. My pride and joy is my Widow. I use her to hunt with all the time.
