Someone sent me a tell asking if I was looking for some cheap CH pets and that he was dropping CH 
I looked through what he had. 5 total. Most were pretty basic, but then I came upon his BE graul.
Light Armor, 45% kinetic, strong poison strong disease, ranged, 510-520 damage .5 to hit. Not a bad pet at all, and I did miss having a graul. He is down to 96 vitality, poor little guy. So I rescued the battle worn Graul from possible release into the unknown wilds of Corellia, with no companion.
So, for a mere 40k, I bought him, retrained him with kid gloves and gave him a new name; Daihok.
As dumb as it sounds, it made me feel good to be able to save him from certain deletion. If only I had more datapad space, I could save so many more...

You can only save so many...I'm sure Daihok appreciates the time you'll put into his care!

I've had that happen to me too, and i jumped at the chance to get a free pet, and saving it for being releashed into the wild Coronet metropolis was something i needed to do, it wouldn't survive long in such a hostile enviroment, i took the old battleworn Kliknik home and did some obedience training and we hunted some mountain squills together.
He was old and didn't run as fast or hit as hard as he used to, so i traveled to Yavin IV and found a kliknik lair far from civilization, and convinded the kliknik queen there to take him under her wings so he could have a happy retirement.

I know this may sound dumb but the moment that made me happy to be a CH was when i tamed a huurton. I know this does not sound like much, but i love the CH profession, and previously i had been using a low level gurrcat called Iguanadoo so it was quite a step up forme
From reading the forums, the CH profession seems to have lost some of its attraction, but i love it and i working up to master is great fun

Nothing wrong with that. Remember, it's not only the making of MCH that desirves to be yelled at the hightest peaks of Tatooine, but any accomplishment is great in this profession. When I finally was able to tame a huurton Huntress, I posted it on the forums mainly as a left handed joke, but I received many happy and joyous responces. Now I am a Level 3/3/3/3 and I go around taming savage quenkers and graul maulers for xp, and occasionally I hunt pickets with my Graul Mauler, (Hulk), who's attack command is amptly set as HULK SMASH!. I have not one BE pet in my invitory that is useful for hunting. But this doesn't mean that I'm better than those that use BE pets, we are all part of a proud profession, we hold on to it because we choose to and it is fun, not because it makes us better than others.
