Haven't visited Talus myself recently, but I did notice this thread on the BE board in which the sampling of Mire Marauders is featured.

Hmph. Seems this cat may have indeed been appropriately put on the extinct list. I'm gonna log a couple of hours on Talus on Ahazi tonight, I'll let you know if I find anything besides hoardes of sludge panther lairs in the swamps.

Regarding the old thread that TH responded to on extincts and spawn rates decreasing, this is the kind of example I wish they would look into if and when they do get a chance to look, along with the Frenzied Grauls, Bull Rancs, etc.

I haven't hunted Mire Marauders yet...BUT...

I have seen and taken out 2 static spawns (spawned 3 adults each) of Great Plains Stalkers on Coronet (no babies yet), and 1 static spawn (spawned 3 adults) of Wild Dune Boar on Tatt.

Each of these I found NEAR (within 500-2000m) from the listed sightings waypoints shown on swgcreatures.com.

I have also found and tamed a baby Thune Grassland Guardian (on my first hunt, too!) - again near the waypoints listed on swgcreatures.com.

My hunt continues - once I finish Master Artisan (today hopefully)...once that's done, it's back to GPS hunting...WDB hunting...Bull Rancor hunting (with friends!)...and probably a Mantig. Screecher.

TRUE - no real "worthy" (read - better than) natural pets - other than rare/exotic ones. My fighting pets have, since the BE fix (yes it was a FIX) have ALWAYS been BE pets. However, if I get a GPS, I do plan on fighting him - to see what he's made of...in a controlled environment (naturally!).

I was out looking for Mire Marauders a while ago, for a good part of a day, and found nothing. As for looking different than GPS, I think they do. The pic on swgcreatures.com makes it look very dark indeed.

A couple months back, when the Mire Marauder first started getting attention on the forums, I spent about a week straight at about 2-4 hours a day in that swamp and it's perimeter looking for one of these, whether it was tamable or not.

To this day, I have not seen any sign of this creature.

Tivo, I killed an adult Wild Dune Boar on Bria two days ago at the Krayt Graveyard POI, it's the only one I've ever seen. I didnt stick around to see if a baby spawned, got chased out by a Krayt. They're still around, but rare as hell.

yes last sunday on talus on my BE i was getting some GSP DNA and i ran across a mire marauder . Stats were so good i sampled it to death and a few of its respawns . i think it respawned 4 times before i ran out of pack space for samples . the area i found it in was se of dedric in the swamps with a GSP non lair spawn a few hundred meeters away.btw the dna make some killer lvl 35 pets ... and it wasnt tameable btw

just noticed that my pet thread was listed in this one the mires are a lil bit darker than the GSP , ill be heading out ot talus tommrow ill post some cords close to where i found it .

Update: Thanks from the person who sighted one Sunday. I spent a good deal of time in the swamps on that day and didn't find anything but minor, regular and greater sludge panther lairs.
