Thread: A few questions from a fairly new CH
Ok first off I'd like to apologize if these are answered elsewhere, I've read a good amount of the boards and couldn't find answers to these questions.
1. When I go to a lvl 40 mission lair and tame a baby its lvl is stated as 1 (18) or something along those lines but never even remotely close to 40. Why wont a lvl 40 lair spawn eventual lvl 40 creatures. Is it something I'm doing wrong or is it luck of the draw or what?
2. When I look at my creatures stats its dmg is based in a range for instance 24-210 (36-290) etc. But when I watch the dmg he does it doesn't fluctuate. So why have a range of dmg, and its never 24 or 210 its always in the middle a bit close to the bottom. How does creature dmg work exactly?
3.I'm pretty sure I understand mount training the size restraints of training mounts. However I have recently trained a little bantha to lvl 15 which is his max. But hes still too small to train. I was under the impression that creature size was a ratio to the individual creatures lvl in respect to its max. But now that this bantha is max lvl it wont ever grow big enough to mount. Why is that and what lvl creature can I train as a mount if a fully grown lvl 15 wont do it?
4. And I know this isn't the BE board but maybe a CH would be better to ask so here goes. What stats can a BE toy with and whats the ideal pet stats in terms of importance when trying to engineer a pet designed to "tank"?
Thanks in advance and sorry again if these are answered elsewhere.

1. Missions are set to the players level. Babies are set to the wild creatures level. You can do a lvl 80 dune bantha lair but if you tame a dune bantha (baby) it will be level 22 fully grown. This is very decieving but you can check the CL by examining the baby.
2. I have noticed consistant damage too. No idea how it works but the 45-240 variable damage seems utterly pointless as a stat when they only hit for 163. (made up numbers)
3. Pet size is determined by level. Here's a list of non CH wild mounts off the top of my head. Cu pa, motley kaadu, carrion spat, lesser plains bol, plodding fulapaset, lesser dewback. Also the mythical dwarf bantha. How that works is if you make a lvl 10 BE bantha it will be too small to train as a mount because it's wild counterparts are level 15. If you have a wild level 15 bantha thats messed up, no idea. On the same token a lvl 70 BE bantha (if thats possible haha) will be too large to train as a mount. The entire pet size by level thing is totally absurd.
4. My short answer for this: BE pets are currently useless. Until they put stats and specials back in just go get three female nargs or if your novice work up to CL 22 then get one.
Hope some of my dribble helps.
