Chiana is my tailor and I just recently unlocked my second character slot.

I have been interested in CH since the game came out. Some people are trying to discourage me from becoming a CH with my new girl... but it sounds like fun. Right now I am at the point where I need to focus on my training in one area.

I am sort of torn between Master CH and Master Combat Medic atm.

Which one do you see as most helpful? If I decide on combat medic as my master then what 2 lines of CH would be best to get in CH? If I choose Master CH then what 2 lines of CM are best?

Also it possible to be master CH and master ranger???

Thanks.

Of course, I'm prejudiced, so I say CH

Now, having said that, I'd say it depends on what your expectations are. By itself, at the moment CH is, unfortunately, not very combat effective at high levels - CL 70 and above - for a variety of reasons. CU did our profession no favors, imho.Ifthedevs areever able to fix pet specials, thatmay help. The problems facing CH, re: making it combat effective, are complex and not easily solved, though.

So, personally, I don't recommend MCH & Master Ranger as a template if you want to be effective in combat. Truly a pity as there may be no profession that complements CH like Ranger does - except for combat. However, if you do want to be effective in combat, and youstill want to be MCH, you will need to master another elite combat profession - take your pick, they all have their advantages/disadvantages.

If you go with CM, and want some CH, I suggest taming and training as the 2 lines to get. You'll get a variety of opinions asall 4 lines add something, but that's my 2 cents. CHreally is a fun profession which is why us old crusty veterans have stuck with it despite its problems.

Well the cons for ch are they as CH have no inate offense or defense skills to the CH themselves, how ever CH does have an advantage over the other combat professions in alot of ways , like the most flexable profession, and also the ability to get in alot of extra DPS , the defense aspect from pets is not great for PvP, but is awsome for PvE it is basicly pets take the brunt of the damage. With that said Ch is probally the most fun profession in the game , pre CU i was a master TKA, master CH, if i had to choose back them i'd go master CH anyday. As far as a secondary profession i'd pick BH to go with it, part of the requrements for BH is part of CH....My own template is master CH, master BH, pistoleer 0/0/4/4 (for the extra def and root), enhanced reflexes 0/4/0/0 ( just even more melee def, since jedi attack mostly with melee.)
