Thread: Narrowed down my new profession to CH or CM
Of course, I'm prejudiced, so I say CH ![]()
Now, having said that, I'd say it depends on what your expectations are. By itself, at the moment CH is, unfortunately, not very combat effective at high levels - CL 70 and above - for a variety of reasons. CU did our profession no favors, imho.Ifthedevs areever able to fix pet specials, thatmay help. The problems facing CH, re: making it combat effective, are complex and not easily solved, though.
So, personally, I don't recommend MCH & Master Ranger as a template if you want to be effective in combat. Truly a pity as there may be no profession that complements CH like Ranger does - except for combat. However, if you do want to be effective in combat, and youstill want to be MCH, you will need to master another elite combat profession - take your pick, they all have their advantages/disadvantages.
If you go with CM, and want some CH, I suggest taming and training as the 2 lines to get. You'll get a variety of opinions asall 4 lines add something, but that's my 2 cents. CHreally is a fun profession which is why us old crusty veterans have stuck with it despite its problems.
