Thread: Can't tame that: FIX

If you are getting the can't tame that bug where you try to tame something like a cu pa which any novice CH should be able to tame then:
Turn off auto attack. Wait for the server to reset. Never turn on auto attack again.
To turn it off control left click any attack you have in your hotbar that has a little check mark next to it's icon.
This fixed it for me.

Sticky? This should be big and bold for every CH to see.
This has been asked multiple times and is game breaking for CH's. If you have any causes or fixes for this bug please add to this.
Also make sure to turn off auto attack if it is turned back on, check when you log in.

The bugged cleared for me when I traveled, even though I still have auto attack on. I don't seem to get bugged unless I fail the tame and the baby aggros on me. Then I'm bugged until I log out or cross a server boundary of travel.

Bumping for the person who couldn't tame a bull rancor. You know this can't tame that bug is only oh game breaking. Creature handlers that can't tame creatures. I bet if pets started hitting for 1000's that wouldn't be left with no eta on a fix.

If by some miraculous bug, CH became as good as other professions, we'd be nerfed back to hell in no time.
As for the bug, I first got it when I tried to tame a creature multiple times and it aggro'd on me twice. After the second aggro, I was unable to tame it. That time, I had to fly to another planet, log out, log in, and fly back to the planet (of course I lost the creature I was trying to tame). Further encounters with the bug have been solved simply by logging in and out.
Oh yes: no idea when it will be fixed. Of course.
