hi guys i just picked up scout - and have to do the trap line now. Are the traps not working during double xp week? any suggestions would be helpful

I am Lvl 16 with current template at 4143

To tell you the truth, I personally was under the impression trapping XP was broken, so I really don't know :/. Traps are more of a scout/ranger thing anyway, try asking someone in those forums. And where you say you have to do the trap line, are you trying to be a CH or a ranger? Because CH only needs 4/0/4/0 scout :/.

The low level ones seem to have been working for my alt - but I mainly use them for pulling rather than the specials.

I seem to be getting XP just fine - although to get much XP you have to use them exclusively (the XP gets split across all the skills you use during combat - not for each successful trap like you did before).

They do need looking at though - what is the sharp bone spur supposed to do now? (it used to hit mind.........)

Edit: Oh, and with the CL's now you NEED a good trapping skill to get them to stick - which leads to a lovely catch-22 situation if you decide to work on traps once your CL is above about 25...........

I'm MCH, MTK, master scout, lvl 80.I threw 20 at the same creature they all missed. I now consider traps useless.

when your real low lvl trapping xp come alot but higher lvl peeps are cursed by broken trapping xp

Ya i also thinks its broken... ive tryed to become master ranger + master CH but with trapping being broken (or they just not sticking) i decided to give that up for BE so... i guess its broken :/

Your trapping skill is low, so you can only trap low level creatures.

Low level creatures give no XP because of your high CL, so you can't improve your trapping skill.
