There were rumors about a very, very, very select few pre-CU deeds escaping the horrid clutches of the BE pet nerf, consider yourself one of the luckiest CHs on earth

I produced a level 39 with over 8k ham (it was a roba too!), I suspect it's quite possible with the right elite DNA to produce a pretty mediocre 64, with 9k ham, but terrible damage and the like.

I've heard bad stories about pets over 8K HAM, many of them seem to go invalid at very high healths when their fully grown....

No I have noticed alot of these pets respecing to this. the LvL10 ubers seem to be the only pets to survive the CU in some form of usefullness. I have a gurreck that is now 48 that was 19 and he has kept his 10k health. This is due to how the respec process lends most of its levelling to armor and damage. This is one example of how they know nothing about our profession, or they would have known not to concentrate solely on armor and damage. Enjoy it while it is around, they may NEVER bother to fix our profession but they certainly find the time to nerf it.

I just bought a level 40 Narglatch with about 9600 HAM. I guess I'll see what happens when he grows up...

It is possible to craft a BE pet with 9k health even now. As for pre CU, I have one that was just over 10k health and post CU it adjusted the level and was callable. Some time around pub 17 though it became the invalid stats message. So there does seem to be a 10k or so health stat limit. The one bad thing about these BE pets tho is they don't have the attack speed factor that post pub 17 BE pets do.

i had a pre-cu mott with 10k health - after it was adapted to level 50 it kept its 10k health.
but in fights i noticed that the health went down real quick. by checking the combat log i saw that its armour only reduced damage by 1 pt always.
so better check if the adjusted pet still got some armour. i think in the first line of adjustments a 60% kinetic resistance was converted to armour rating 60. i recently noticed, that my natural high level pets (CL69/70) have around 40% damage reduction (kin/energy) - thats around armour rating 5000.

CL 50 pets should give a good percentage of armor, doesn't make much sense that a CL 50 pet barely has any....
